Milescraft 1224 Edge & Mortise Guide - Universal Router Guide for Straight or Cylindrical Edges - Built in Mortise Guide - Bonus Offset Base

I bought this to rout a long, straight channel. The router guide that came with my router was flimsy and couldn't be locked in place. This attaches to the router and is strong. It also has many other features useful for woodworkers. I own several Milescraft products and have yet to be disappointed. Also, their customer service is excellent.

Came exactly as described. Very straightforward jig. Simple to connect and align. Pretty light plastic but seems durable enough. Glides pretty easy over different surfaces. Orientation adjustment is handy. Overall a pretty good product.

A bit clunky but works fine.

Fits the ridgid R2901 mounting holes.Great tool if you're going to use it a few times a year, so for the price it is perfect for me.If you're going to use every day, you should probably spend more money on one that is built a more sturdy.

A few people out there bemoan the fact that Ryobi doesn't make and edge and mortise guide anymore for their routers. Well, this one works fine. It's a little tricky to set up but once it's set up, it does what it's supposed to do.

I found it useful as a beginner with a new router.However there are cracks in the plastic, probably from when the brass nuts were inserted at the factory.Too late to exchange it.

It works as advertised for straight edge following. Rounded edges that don’t have a constant radius will result in changes of cut placement. The larger the radius the more consistent it will be. Tight changing radii will result in a more noticeable difference. Overall good product. Time will tell on durability.
