Good quality and price

A fun item to have on display at home which brings a smile to me & others every time we see it. Good product for the money. Well-packaged. Just a shame that some of the bubble wrap had stuck to the front of the plaque resulting in a little tare to the background red paper as I tried to detach it. The damage wasn't bad enough to warrant me requesting a replacement. Fortunately I have managed to disguise the damage using a red felt tip pen. Had it not been for this, I would have given 5 stars.

I'd seen a very similar sign on sale in Debenhams but the 'shabby chic'ness of this one wasn't quite up to Debenham's standards (Debenhams had completely sold out when I went back to the store and looked online to buy it). It has black lines printed which look like someone has just drawn lines with a permanent marker on it - a very fake shabby chic. It was a gift and as I hadn't unwrapped it from all the bubble wrap it had been safely delivered in, as I thought I knew what I was getting, it was too late to send it back by the time it was unwrapped. My recipient seemed pleased with it which is why I gave the product 3 stars, but personally I would have given it 2 stars - I just hope he was being honest with me! I might take a bit of sand paper to it to give it a more genuine shabby chic look and hopefully eliminate some of the ridiculous black marks.

I love this plaque and everyone that comes to my house always compliments it! Yes it's not real old looking wood, the effects are painted on, but i still think it look great, if you wanted the real old wooden ones you would have to pay double the price!

Beware! It's a lot bigger than I expected! I bought this to hang on a door handle..it's too big for that.It is very nice though and arrived quickly.. 5 stars if the dimensions had been made clearer.
