Sharp as a NEW FILE
A new file is a joy to use. Should have replaced the old file YEARS AGO!

Sharp and works
As advertised. Great file for keeping saws sharp. Be aware that there are multiple sizes available and the number of teeth per inch of the saw you are sharpening determine the size you need.

Excellent for spot fret leveling
Had a few spots missed at the Fender factory. This little file made quick work of them and got everything level so I could crown them. Recommend for DIY guitar maintenance.

Nice file
File is inexpensive, appears well made and feels very sharp. Update...I. using this to crown guitar frets after filling the edges to avoid scratching the fretboard. Works well.

Just what a Luthier needs
Just grind the edges flat and it is the perfect fret file.

Works..but only once
I bought this file to sharpen an old saw I bought at the flea market. I’ve used many crescent tools, and figured this would be a safe choice. The file did excellent for about half the saw, but then the edge chipped. I rolled over the file and finished the sharpening, but both edges I used got multiple small chips. The picture shows the larger chip that happened on the first side. The shape and performance of sharpening is amazing, but the durability was a little disappointing. The small chips down the edge made it a little difficult to work with. It does the job, but it may not do many jobs especially if it is going to need a lot of filing.
