I purchased this item because it was very hard to find in the grocery store. It arrived in a timely manner and the price was decent.

Use this on my lawn to keep my neighbor's dog off my yard. Hard to believe how much there was for 15 bucks + free ship. Think I got lucky. . .

This is red pepper and it is hard to find. Most people try and send cayenne which is not the same thing.

In my household, I'm the only one that doesn't like to add a lot of heat to my food, so I personally will be using this very sparingly. However, this large container of culinary ground red pepper will get more use for my family members' personal dishes although they will only need to add a little, because this packs a huge punch.The color is beautiful and my daughters were discussing putting it on some deviled eggs, which for those who like hot foods, is a good idea to add a kick. I think that this would last an extemely long time in most households, even ones where everyone likes hotly seasoned foods, because only a small amount is needed to add heat.I am familiar with McCormick brand seasonings and spices, as it is a well-established and quality brand from my experience, and this spice is no exception. I like having this for our household use, as it is a large amount of ground red pepper that packs a big punch in a small amount. Thanks for reading.

This will pretty much last me forever as it is a huge container. Seriously, I will be sharing this with friends because a little goes a long way. This has a good flavor that is kind of like cayenne and black pepper had a baby — it has a good kick but not as much heat as cayenne. It works well in chili and Mexican dishes where you want to add a bit of heat with a different flavor. I add a bit to my roasted veggies to spice them up a bit. It’s a fine pepper so it’s easy to sprinkle just a bit on any dish.

The best red pepper I ever bought was a dollar bottle from Kroger. Unfortunately, I cannot get that here in Alaska. I generally like McCormick products but this red pepper just has very little flavor. I don't mean a 'hot' flavor. Hard to describe but all red peppers are not created equally. I wish this had been on the same par as the Kroger one.
