Dragon Models 1/400 B-1B 34th BS/28th BW Ellsworth AFB 2005

This airplane arrived in the box with the left horizontal stab barely hanging on....one of the main landing gear tires was missing....found in the box...vey very tiny....as soon as I removed it from the box the left stab fell off onto the floor...had to take time to find it...it looks nice...but Im not sure it ranks as a 1/400 scale model up against some 1/400 scale models I own...and also after working on the real B-1B for 10 years maybe should be marked 1/500 scale....this is not the Pilot Store's problem though..it is all own Dragon models...Pilot Store did a great job in shipping in a timely manner...actually received the model 3 days earlier than expected....Thanks Pilot Store...I recommend buying stuff from them.

Great 1/400 model for the price and great addition to my scale Air Force base.

Its a small design nice replica. Be care with the landing gear and other small attachments, pretty fragile. Make you its displayed in a visible area away from where its touched more often due to it being fragile.

The landing gear are *very* fragile and have quite a bit of flash (i.e., excess plastic) so that if the model were displayed in the “landed” position it would sit crooked like a cheap toy. Using a hobby knife, sandpaper, and lots of patience, I was able to clean up the excess plastic and reset the gear. I also had to use some strategically placed dots of super glue to keep everything together. It took me a couple of hours of work, but I did pull it off. The mold otherwise looks fine and fits a much need niche in 1/400 scale. To sum it all up, I would stay away from this product unless you have a bit of modeling experience and/or some tools. It is vastly overpriced at $30 and should be selling closer to $15.
