Best fun for the money in a crawler
I have a RC4WD bully2 that I've spent about $900 on and the E10 is essentially as good overall. Some things the bully excels at while other times the Everest is the winner. Key to making this great was to replace the tires with soft compound ones, convert to 4WS which is really really cheap and easy, 3s battery from my mini 8ight buggy, softest mini-T rear springs all around to significantly lower the center of gravity and 35t motor. Overall for under $250, because i had a spare radio, servo and 3s batteries already, this thing is terribly impressive. Just replaced the wheels and shocks with shiny aluminum ones because this is my GF 's and that's what she liked, and both of us love driving it several nights a week. Nothing has broken except a couple of wheel hex pins so far. I removed the steering stops on both axles and that's about all it can accept for steering modifications before the wheels turn so much that the dog bones want to pop out. I'm glad i didn't modify it further because it turns great with just that 60 second steering modification. Great crawler and best investment I've made in a long time. I wish my expensive RC4WD was as durable as this thing! Oh, and it pops wheels with 3s lipo and 35t RC4WD brushed motors! I would 100% but this again and i can't say that about many purchases in my life. Very happy with the product, the parts prices and availability from Redcat racing online store. If I were to buy another one I would immediately do the exact same modifications but forgo replacing the stock shocks with aftermarket because the stock ones are pretty decent, the only problem with them is the spring rate is about two and a half times higher than what it should be. I even really liked the radio it came with, just couldn't handle 4WS, which was a bummer.

Beast mode
I live this thing, if your interested in getting into to the 1:10 scale size but don’t have a bunch of money this is be is a perfect choice. Leave it stick or upgrade it as everything in it is upgradable. Mine now has beadlock rims and upgraded tires, brass inserts for the beadlock rims, rear steering a 550/12T injora motor and I mounted a go pro

Good buy!
Great crawler out of the box, but I’m upgrading like crazy! Second pic doesn’t clear all the articulation but looks cool rounding up the chickens!

Nice crawler at a good price!
I like the Everest 10 overall, but it was a bit too slow for me. I swapped out the 54T motor with a 27T motor. Now it has enough speed for Trail Walking and is better for rock crawling when you need more wheel speed to spin the tires faster to get a little extra boost. WOT went from 2.6Mph to 5.3 Mph. Any more speed , and I would find it quite hard to control WOT since it is designed for crawling I had to replace the gear box when the small plastic pinion gear completely stripped out. This was partially my fault since the battery fell out and locked up the front wheels. I did not see what happened and kept the throttle on until I heard that nasty grinding noise. I was using a Li-Po battery and found that it did not fit well into the battery tray, would not lay flat. I recommend that if you use Li-Po, check the fit and if it is not secure add heavy duty VELCRO strips to the trays front and the battery. No problems since. I replaced the Plastic gear box with a Full Metal gear box from RC SLL and it seems a bit more quiet, less gear clash noise. I am pleased with the 2 upgrades. I gave it 4 stars due to the battery tray problem. I am using 3500 MAH Li-Po's that will run it for 30 Min WOT, so mix that with some normal driving and rock crawling, I get about 1Hr run time. Pretty darn good I think.

Fun Crawler
This is a great entry level 1/10 scale RC Crawler. If you're just getting into rock crawling RC trucks/buggies, this is a great place to start. You only need to make one modification to improve its crawling ability, and that is, remove the tire inserts. It'll make the tires much softer allowing them to grip terrain much better. Especially on rock. All in all, it's a fun model to play with. And very reasonably priced. Also, there are tons of upgrades you can do it. And several upgrade parts you can get for it are in the manual!

Stop thinking and do it, great buy!
Update: put a cage, 35t motor, 25mm spacers with 2.8inch wheels. Man it made it a beast. This is what I decided to go with after a few months of debating on whether to burn 400 to 500 on a rc crawler. It is my first and after seeing the higher end ones in action like the axial and traxxas, I'd say theres not much of a difference. Sure you're gonna break some parts and parts will fail for no reason, but the price is what sells this beast. And yes this thing is an animal. I did order a couple parts after reading up on many posts about what parts most often fail. So I ordered a set of lockers, axles, and a 20kg servo. I did swap out the lockers just cause 90% of owners said they will blow out soon. The first thing to actually fail is the servo/steering box, and it did after about 4 days or about 8 hours of use. Luckily I already had the other one and swapped it out. Man what a difference that made. I had to reduce the steering so it wouldn't snap anything apart. The factory one I had set at 100%, this one 40%. I'll update later on but for now I'd put this up against any crawler out there. Seriously. For just a little over 200 bucks I think its a great way to get into the hobby. I use it in the house all the time, lol. My daughter loves playing with it and flipping it back over. It climbs everything! She puts pillows up it climbs up on the sofa. It's like her little puppy friend.
