Lovely model NOT FOR BEGINNERS
This builds into a really nice model of a Spanish Galleon. As mention in several reviews the instructions are in French but the last page of the instructions are in English so very easy to follow, the pictures in the instructions are clear and simple. Very little flashing so hardly any cleaning up to do. Smaller then many model sailing ships approx 2/3 of Revells bounty, Mayflower of Victory. parts fit together very well and it looks superb when completed.NOT FOR BEGINNERS. Unusually the shrouds have to be hand made using cotton, a jig is supplied with instructions but it is time consuming and very fiddly but the end result is much better then the usual plastic shrouds supplied with most other model ships very satisfying when completed but needs a lot of patience.Sadly the rigging leaves a bit to be desired no running blocks or tackle luckely I had some left over from other models but again no cotton is supplied for the rigging. BE AWARE you will need some very fine drills, a number of holes have to be drilled in the deck, hull and foredeck, they are clearly marked but it is upto you to drill them the right size. I purchased a set of PCB board drills from Amazon 0.2 mm to 1.2 which are perfect.
