Update: Unfortunately I find that the bottom of the mug gets too hot to hold. Sure, just don’t touch the bottom is one solution. Also, I placed my base on a guitar amp with a vinyl covering. The micro switch does not like to be set on soft material. It prevents proper activation. The quality of the mug and warming base is fine and if used on a hard surface, it performs as advertised. Just be aware the bottom of the mug gets pretty hot. I’m going to replace it with an Ember mug. A much better design from the ground up. Sorry but I’m dropping one star of rating because of the hot mug bottom.Original review: This is a really nice pairing. The cup is very comfortable to hold, the shape and size of the handle is perfect. The cup rim feels good on the lips and doesn’t cause drips when sipping. It looks nice too! The best part: the cup is made to accept heat transferred from its heated base. It’s very effective at keeping a hot beverage hot. The base is completely automatic and requires no user input. Just plug it in and set a cup with beverage on it.

It appears the only thing that got hot was the housing. After allowing it to sit to see how hot the drink would become I set the mug down and this is what happened. (See photo) Didn't arrive with any instructions. If it had I could have saved my chest from being scalded by water that heated up between the cup bottom and the metal plate base. The instructions probably stated "To avoid scalding do not submerge in water." Or "Rest on side after washing to allow water to drain". Anything to avoid the bad burn my chest experienced. Lastly the design of the handle is too unwieldy for my comfort. I prefer the design that is most commonly used. See photo.

Perfect little cup for your home/office/desk.Holds 6 oz. Of liquid easily with a little room to spare (I believe it holds a little less then 9oz)It kept my beverages perfectly hot, it's cute, and other the having a tiny chip on my lid it was exactly what I wanted.Now I want 2 more!

I received the item on June 5. It is quite elegant and well made I was a little disappointed when I plugged it in, that the glass shattered within a few minutes. But it still works. I am pleased to say that it heats water very hot to allow me to draw a tea bag. I hope I will be able to use it for a very long time

Obviously, this mug warmer is a good product.On one hand, it is easy to use. With its gravity censor, it begins to work when I put my cup on it and my mug can keep warm for several hours.it saves my time on heating my coffee.on the other hand, its appearance fits my room, it looks simple but sweet. And the quality is great as well, i like this warmer.

I LOVE THIS MUG WARMER!!! It looks beautiful on my desk and I love that I don’t have to remember to turn it on/off. I really need to buy another one for home. I really like the lid and matching spoon. Also, the rim of the cup is thin and perfect for me!!

It ist part of my life,since I have received this mug heater. I use it all the time. Recently,very cold in my city, I cannot imagine my life without this mug heater, it is not only warm my mug, but also warm my stomach,my doctor said warm drinking can help me relieve my stomachache.
