this product was very easy to install, around 5 minutes, the cooper contact, matches perfect in the socket for this in the hard drive and and the laptop also. the system configuration immediately recognized the device, and it's running as well, fast, no complaints reported with this item. Used it with my older Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop to add a 2nd SSD hard drive. I know, it's old and outdated by now but it still serves my purposes. Adding a SSD to an old laptop like that gives new life to it. Note, you will need the bracket and screws which I will review seperately.

Seller good, product seems mediocre
The problem - when putting the adapter on - one of the connector/adaptor prongs slide partially out. Had to push it back in place. It remains to be seen if it works properly. Strikes me as poor quality, or a random slightly defective part.

I bought this to put a second hard drive in an old Vostro 1700 that I'm covnerting to be a DVR for a security camera. Worked perfectly.
