Best post lamps I have ever had
I bought 6 to try before I bought the teaming 13 I need. They are well made and worth the money. I opened one to see the charging circuit and it is well designed. Took me a few minutes at each post to install. As the posts are treated and little over size, I used a battery power saw to notch a blade with in each side of the post a 1/2” down and they fit snug. They worked great the fiat might and the brightest post lamps I have had. The reflector Inside works well and helps in this fact. The aluminum base and glass are worth the money. The top is plastic with a metal top piece but substantial in thickness compared to others I have owned. They worked the first night and every night since almost all night. I hope they come back in to stock as like to purchase more and a couple of spares to have around in case a tree limb falls on one. Can’t recommend them enough. Please ask Davinci Lighting to restock!UPDAtE: added some photos of the fence install. Been running in mixed sun/shade environment and still work great. The Crystalline PV cells are great and have around 25% efficiency with the testing I did. Will see how they do in the LA heat this summer.Note: I left them in a sunny part of the yard for two days before installing. I think it help set the battery life. 95 here and still working greatUpdate: so I had 4 lights quit. I opened them up and found two issues. The PC board have corrosion on it from moisture and exposure. See phot above. I cleaned the boards with a Roth rich and the traces look good still. I also check the capacitors and resistors and all were still good. I also found a wire on each had corroded and broke off. I soldered them back. All of them work now. I also place RTV on the inside to seal the gap around the solar cell to keep rain out. Not too bad of an issue so still like these best of all the lights I have purchased. I checked working lights and they did not have this issue. I still added a new seal around the solar cells on the inside before I reinstalled them to be safe.

Pleasantly suprised - great product!
I bought 8 of these to mount to the post tops of our newly re-finished 25' x 16' deck. They arrived in 4 days during COVID lockdown and were very well packed in retail-quality packaging. The metal "roof" of the light fixture securely fastens with 4 press-and-turn tabs, houses the 2 white LED bulbs and the rechargeable battery, and has a quality powder-coat finish. The panes are bubbled glass, giving them an upscale antiqued look. We really love the overall design with the metal housing and decorative frame. The fixture slides down about 1" onto a 4x4 post and is easily secured with the hardware (Davinci provides a bag with 2 screws each of 3 different lengths). Use the plastic base to mount the fixture to a 6x6 post or flat (according to the instructions).A printed sheet includes a QR code and a website URL to guide you to the online mounting instructions, which are specific to this model and easy to follow.Although 3 of the fixtures are under 30' pines and so only get partial sun, they all charge even on cloudy days and throw off a warm light for at least 6 hours after sunset. We no longer use our wall sconces to light the deck - these units are bright enough to light an evening of entertainment and conversation!

Good post lamp, mounting a little flimsy
I bought this to replace a different style of lamp on my mailbox post (one that was aging, dim and unrepairable). I like the style, the engineering and manufacture of the lamp itself. It looks good and is just the right brightness — a bit more than "marker," a bit less than "light up the area." The replaceable battery is a nice touch, and the way the lid is made, I can probably take it apart and replace the LEDs in a few years if necessary. What I found exasperating was the rather flimsy mount. It comes with four, to accommodate four post sizes, and all are molded from soft ABS. Once one is screwed to the post, the lamp assembly twist-locks onto it. Between small-ish locking nubs and soft plastic, the hold isn't very good and it does not "lock" into position; a bump will turn it, and a harder bump will knock it right off. Gluing isn't an option as there would be no way to remove it without damage (mount screws are on the inside, of course.)The middle body is just the glass and reflector; all of the lamp gear (LEDs, battery, solar cell) are in the top... which also twist-locks onto the body, and not as well as I'd like.If this is on a fence post where nothing can reach it (including cats and branches), the weaknesses will probably never be an issue. On a streetside mailbox post, or on any post where it might get handled, bumped or brushed... I expect to have to find some solution to make it all lock together better. But it looks much nicer than the very plain 'moderne' one it replaced. :)

Battery Replacement
Very nice light. Became very dim after several months. The battery is contained in the upper portion where the solar panels are. Just twist the top off and remove the small battery compartment door. The battery type is size AA 1.2 V rechargeable Ni-MH. I am using these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CWNMV4G.

Dead in one year
First, I attempted three times, once through Amazon and twice through the manufacturers web site to resolve this issue; with no response leaving this review:Bright Side (the good):a. looks niceb. very easy to install on a post cap.In the Dark: (the bad):a. The mount is very flimsy and a couple of times the wind blew the light off of the mount.b. We installed the lights to look good but also detur wildelife at night. The light is pleasant up close but it's just not very brightc. Does not store enough energy to stay lighted through the night.d. One is completely out and not working in less than a year.Verdict: don't buy. I wouldn't have left a review at all if it was still working at a year, this seems like a minimum to me.
