Deluxe Ventilated Predator Proof Hedgehog House & Hibernation Shelter

We have been blessed with a hedgehog having 6 hoglets in our garden. They have a nest under the brambles but are loving the house as a feeding station. A little tricky at one stage to reinsert the tunnel when it came out but succeeded in the end. Overall very pleased and a good price. Will probably order another in time.

The hedgehogs took a while to find it, but it is now in constant use. The quality of the build is good, and it has withstood all the really heavy rain we have had recently without any ingress. I would suggest that the ventilation hose is pointed downwards on the outside to prevent any stray raindrops running into the house.The comments that have been made about the floor are valid. This was easily resolved by placing some old floor tiles under each corner to allow the base to be off the ground (also allows invertebrates to go underneath).

The hedgehogs used it from the first evening it was placed in the garden BUT so did the local cats . We have a trail camera which showed them practically dislocating their shoulders to get in and scoff the food .So what to do ?Had a brain wave and went to the local plumbing shop and bought this drainpipe bent at right angles - not cheap - £11 - and it did the job .No cats can get in and happy hedgehogs .Later on in the season may well change to a less extreme angle as am hoping the hogs will be much fatter and so may not squeeze around the bend. I see that Screwfix do all sorts of different angled drainpipes .Gap between drainpipe and entrance stuffed with piece of ex yoga mat . Cats scratched out plastic bin liner I used first of all.Great box - well made

I would have liked internal compartment to be accessed by hogs around a partition. The sleeping compartment is open to the anti-predator tube, so might still be quite windy. This detail wasn't shown on the schematics when i was choosing so if like me you would have preferred that then pick another provider. Also have elevated it slightly off the soil with wooden planks so ideally would have liked rubber feet to raise it off damp soil.

The media could not be loaded.  I waited to write a review to see if the hedgehog liked it, he does, moved in and been there a couple of months now, I use another house but without the tunnel as a feeding station, and where I can place straw, so it can move it when it want's more bedding, which it's been doing lately.Hedgehog seems very happy with his home.I did see some of the other comments about the wooden floor, and placed it on some bricks underneath, and then covered up the area a bit around it, so hopefully water should drain away and not rot the floor.My cat's which are an average 4kg size can't get in either to this house or the feeding station, and they have tried for the food.This hedgehog is so well fed and large now I'm surprised it can fit in the tunnel!Lovely hedgehog house.

Disappointed first night I put it out a cat got in and ate the food, had to add extra tunnel, hopefully it will be as it was described now

We were delighted with the new home for our hedgehog. It's very cosy and as you can see from the photo is in use.

The media could not be loaded.  I already had the Hutch Company Hedgehog house without the tunnel and was using it with great success as a feeding station. But then one of our hedgehogs decided to setup home in it so I decided to purchase their other Hedgehog house with tunnel. So far I'm using this as a feeding station and our hedgehogs started using it from the first day it was setup in the garden. The hedgehogs visit it everyday with no exception. Really well made and arrived quickly using prime. As the tunnel and house have no partition I positioned it in a sheltered spot so the wind cannot enter. Very pleased and the hedgehogs love it. I just hope a hedgehog doesn't setup home in this one too otherwise I'll have to buy and third.
