Not too hard to please
These bulbs are BRIGHT.Be carefult - if you have a security camera with night vision close to one of these bulbs. It can render your nught vision useless. Like it did to my camera. I hactually had to switch to a soft 3000K bulb, so the camera would function again.

They are heavier than other LEDs, working well but on the expensive side
Bought these "dimmables" to replace two 3 X 50W Halogens that were on Lutron dimmers. It's a month in & they're still looking & working great. But due to their cost I wish I'd tried the non-dimmable BoxLoods first (which I found as dimmable as these - see my review - maybe its that Lutron dimmers are great?). These dim as all LEDs seem to, ~ 40% brightness, not as low as Halogens but will take 'em @ about 1/10 the wattage.Photos: 2 closeups of my TorchStar LEDs, photo of 3X TorchStars in light fixture. I had to bend/tilt the delicate wire Techlight fixture to hold these heavy TorchStars properly, would not have had to with the lighter Boxloods. Operationally, I see no difference (advantage/disadvantage) between. But the dimmable (for me w/Lutron) "non-dimmable" Boxloods are lighter & ~ 1/2 the price. Not sure about longevity yet, its only been a month. Will update if disappointed:)

Very pleased with these LED lights
I’m not able to attest to the longevity of these light bulbs. I wanted to use these for our recessed lighting fixtures in our kitchen and utility rooms and at 5,000k, these bulbs really do the job- daylight brightness and the angle of disbursement are great. We tried 3,000k bulbs (too warm) and these did not meet our expectation. I suspect that led bulbs at 4,000k will also provide enough brightness if you are looking for something close to “daylight”brightness. Our fixtures are 12v so they do not use a whole lot of electricity. All these led bulbs come at a price so hopefully, they’ll come close to meeting the longevity claims made by the seller.

Non-standard size and "dimmable" isn't really accurate
These bulbs are taller than a standard MR16 bulb. Might not matter in many installations, but it my case, they just don't fit. Also, the "dimmable" claim, while technically correct, is useless. At the slightest voltage, they come on to about 95% brightness. The full range of your dimmer covers the 95% to 100% range. See photos.

Great so far
I have around 40 of these now installed. All working well. They fit my old halogen housings and have a nice warm white color.

Good Replacement for Halogen Lights
The color temperature is similar to incandescent, they are very bright when full on, and they dim well to about 10% brightness if you use an approved dimmer. NOTE: Some people may want them to be able to dim even more, but we are happy with 10%. We replaced about 24 halogen track lights with these and have cut our energy use by 75%.

Good 7W LED replacement
These are supposed to be LED replacement equivalent to 50 W halogen. They are not as bright as the halogens I replaced. I added two more lights to approximate the brightness of the halogen. Color was as expected. It is still difficult to get accurate replacement lumen for lumen and color wise for LED bulbs. They also buzz a bit in the fixture I have them in which is a 12v tract light.
