I'd recommend this. It was easy to put on. I tried taking one off to see if it would leave marks and it doesn't. It went back on very easily, too.

They cover the dots on the fretboard. very confusing

Work really well to help you get some visualization of the pattern of notes on the fretboard. They aren't smooth is the only knock (but then, how could they be) so it works best if you have one guitar to put them on for some practice or a refresher and another guitar without them for the bulk of your playing/practice.

Difficult to see the notes unless the guitar is twisted.

These are easy to apply and very helpful for beginners

[EDIT:Ok, after a few weeks I went to take them off.They do NOT come off! It's difficult to peel, and even when I can get them off they leave tons of residue.Don't put this on any guitar!]I always thought these were kinda silly, a crutch at best. But when trying to teach guitar I find that these REALLY, REALLY help. Although fretboard memorization is something that does need to be developed, this let's you ignore that for the time being while teaching other things. You can even have a student play a diatonic scale by just giving them the start and end letter, with no other guidance.The colors, as brash as they seem, are SUPER helpful because it's quite quick to find the same note elsewhere on the board.As far as helping memorization? I'm not certain if it's a help or a hinderance, I'll let someone else report on that.I also have yet to remove the stickers... here's hoping they come off clean. Will update review if they don't.

I put this note chart on my guitar and my grandson's guitar. Helpful.

Picked up a guitar just a couple of months ago. These stickers really do help with learning the fretboard and recognising sounds between flats and sharps. And for power chords that mostly are used in rock/metal music, this really does help you. You need to play a C5? No problemo because the sticker tells you exactly where the C note lies so it’s so much easier.

At first I thought these were good.Taking them off was awful. Left a sticky residue on the neck and the frets.Taken me ages to clean my guitar thoroughly to get rid of the mess these left behind.I would never buy them again!
