An amazing album!
This is one of my favourite albums that I recently bought, and I just love it! It's so much more smarter than your run of the mill "deathcore" bands, as there is more focus on the death metal aspects as well as other influences in metal music. "Make It Bleed" just leaps out at you, and is a furious statement for an album, and the follow up, "Hate Creation" is my favourite song by far. The quiet to loud dynamic, so reminiscent of Korn, is clever, and then the beatdown towards the end(which is so much more than your standard, unimaginative chugging)is simply exhilerating. "(Cult)uralist" is like an intense fury, as Phil Bozeman spits out verses faster than any rapper you've ever heard, yet still makes it sound deathly and demonic. "I, Dementia" has a feel like Pantera's "Walk", a groove ridden riff with so much swagger leads into a ripping solo that Dimebag Darrell would have been proud of. The fact that this band has three guitarists allows the music to breathe, and the layering and textures range from ambient soundscapes to cerebral rampages. To summarise, this album is ideal for anyone who is looking for something more stimulating than what current deathcore bands, i.e. Annotations of an autopsy, have been repeatedly regurgitating. :DIf you have the following albums in your collection: Suicide Silence "The Black Crown", Oceano "Contagion", Parkway Drive "Deep Blue" or Carnifex "Until I Feel Nothing" then you would definately be interested in this!

Whitechapel Album Review
Well what can I say about this album... its amazing, plenty of amazing hard hitting songs on this album the band themselves are amazing. This also comes with a second CD Recorrupted which i was surprised about again another amazing CD and great cover of Pantera's Strength Beyond Strength. The main album is great songs like Section 8, Hate creation, (Cult)uralis are some of my favourites from the album. Long story Short Buy the album end of story worth every penny you spend on it.

Heavy
Pure unadulterated chugging metal, more mature than their previous records but still incredibly brutal. Phil's vocals appear to have less range in this album, but I think it adds to relentless riffs and drumming.

Good........but their old stuff is better
I love Whitechapel. End of story. The Somatic Defilement and This is Exile take pride of place in my extensive metal collection. However, after those two albums (which are incredible, I might add) the guys from Knoxville sort of.....lost their touch. The very brutal lyrics and guitar work (the selling point of a good deathcore band/album) vanished and they abandoned what made them special; and a band that could challenge the likes of Suicide Silence and Chelsea Grin swiftly became just one more generic deathcore band. It pains me to say that but, I cannot help but think it. Although they still have their name, the passion and the spark that made them incredible have vanished and this lack of heart has continued to their fourth album, Whitechapel.Ok, i'll dmit that one or two songs on this album are ok, but gone are the days when you could put a Whitechapel CD into your player and be blown away by every song, every riff, every blast beat and every lyric. Now, when you listen to a Whitechapel CD, the only time you will ever be blown away is when a Tornado comes and destroys your home.Sorry guys, I love you and all but come on, if you name an album after yourself, I expect to fall in love.....and I just haven't.
