Two boy pugs (weight 23 and 25 lbs) ordered large as waist 16”+ and fit great even in the chunkster lolThey are marking horribly now at 2+ yrs although potty trained as in everywhere in house. Losing my mind finding accidents everywhere. :/ I ordered other belly bands - nice quality- but would not stay on - slip off back. These are nicely made and thick enough for the occasional oopsie. I do use a thin liner to catch any… I would say if you have an older dog that’s incontinent you would want to place a padded sticky liner inside unless you want to wash each time there’s an accident. So happy for this find!*they have not tried to get off so i imagine they are comfortable wearing. **yes they could use a little more Velcro as some reviews noted, but I’ll add more if needed in future. I’ll be ordering more when they have other styles in the large. Happy parenting!

I got these for my older Chiweenie with incontinence issues because, being the clever little rascal he is, he's figured out how to squirm out of other wraps without suspenders by wiggling around on his back until they just slipped off his back end. The suspenders on these prevent his little trick from working. The fabric is very soft, and when coupled with absorbent liners they can be used for a few days in a row each.The only downside I've found is that the "hook" side of the hook & loop tape (aka the rough/stiffer half of the "velcro") wears out after a few months, to where it doesn't keep the ends of the wraps together very reliably. Whether you put them in the dryer or hang them to dry after washing doesn't seem to matter, and it's likely because they don't use actual Velcro-brand hook & loop tape. A simple safety pin is enough to keep the wrap from coming open once they get to that point. Even with that one deficiency though, they're still worth the price IMO.

Adopted a 7 year old male dog who was not potty trained nor fixed, had him fixed but still was marking his territory so I bought a doggy diaper which he would always take off until I found this one, perfect!!! And it's sooooo cute! (He's getting better at finally going outside to use it and mark his territory)

When we rescued our senior doxie who had multiple health problems, including failing kidneys I knew that we we’re going to have issues with house accidents. He is pretty much housebroken now but he still ‘leaks’ a bit of urine when he is sleeping at night and he hated being kenneled. We have always let our dogs sleep in bed with us but it was not possible for this new guy so after trying a LOT of different belly bands that he slipped right out of I finally tried these. Problem solved! First off, they run small so keep that in mind when ordering. Our doxie doesn’t mind his ‘jammies’ at all, I always give him a few treats when I put it on for the night so he looks forward to it. I also have a small mini pad inside so I don’t have to constantly wash it. But still, it was coming off sometimes or worse twisting around his neck too tightly. I purchased stick on velcro for fabric here on Amazon for a few more strips and that did the trick. The band now stays secure with zero problems. These are truly a lifesaver, our sweet dog can now be in bed with us with no problems. You won’t be disappointed!

Our new chihuahua puppy could not keep a diaper on and pees so much it amazes me. I would out a disposable diaper on and a few minutes later he’s running around naked and I’m cleaning like 7 pee puddles. This strap works well over the diaper. So far he has taken it off once, but it stays on longer than the diaper by itself. I’m going to need another one the next size up soon because he seems to be getting big fast but I will definitely buy this again before it’s time to size up. I hope this helps with training!!

Cute and effective. Only complaint is how weak the Velcro is, one shake and it came off.

This product has a lot going for it and I liked it and it would have worked well, if the sizing design had worked correctly for my dog. I’m not sure what goes into clothes design with regards to sizing but it seems it could be corrected and done better. I measured my dog as instructed ( several times) he measured at 17 in. So I purchased the large but it was quite large on him. I was able to use it with the added help of an ace bandage to keep it snug enough and so the excess flap material leftover from securing the Velcro at the tightest available option wouldn’t be just flapping loose as well and allow him to roll around on his back and easily cause what little was able to Velcro together to separate and come off and leave him with the strap that crisscrosses around his neck to possibly become a hanging or strangling hazard if left unattended. So, I figured I just needed to go down a size to medium so I placed an order but unfortunately when I received the medium I quickly had concerns because of the obvious size difference between the two just by looking but I did try it on him and sure enough it was about an inch to a half an inch shy of the Velcro being able to match up and Velcro together. I’m very disappointed because it’s the only design I’ve been able to find that he can’t slip his way out off. I think it works with some dogs if their size happens to be within a certain range ( not sure how to determine that though) but for mine it did not, even if my measurements were off and I got his size wrong it would just be common sense that if the large was to loose at the tightest fitting and the medium was to small to even match up with the Velcro then there appears to be an obvious sizing flaw in the product. My hope is that the designer of this product will become aware of the issue and make the necessary changes and therefore be able to produce a more successful product by providing it to work with more in between size pet owners pets. If not hopefully another option that works for the various purposes like this one does will come out sooner than later.

I bought two for my mom’s dogs chihuahuas- she had a hard time clipping and unclipping the black plastic holders because of arthritis. I don’t know how it would’ve worked for the dogs.
