a surprisingly solid set of repro controllers
I purchased a two pack of these & was quite surprised by the quality. i use them for emulation & they're solid enough to where I don't have any issue with them.good:-works fine with emulation; i use them for gameboy games!-response time is pretty spotless from the games I've testedbad:-the build quality is quite cheap.-you still get what you pay for; a set of cheap-ish repro controllers. i did not experience anything too bad personally, but your mileagle may vary when it comes to the quality of your own.questionable:-they were not prepackaged-one of the controllers had tape on the side. it still worked despite this & thankfully didn't fall apart once removed; just not sure why there was tape to begin with..

Great SNES controller once you get it to work!
I give this 4 stars because there are no instructions at all and no charging cable! Thankfully I have a micro usb charging cable. I had trouble getting these to work at first and not knowing what the various blinking lights meant didn't help. After trying for 10 mins I found that Solid red light means it is synced. Blinking red light means it is searching or the USB is not plugged in and I think fast blinking red light means it needs charged (I'm guessing). I read somewhere online that if you need to reset the controller lights that you hold select+start+down at the same time.So after charging for about an hour I plugged it into my pi. It didn't recognize a new controller at all and nothing worked. So if anyone has this issue you need a wired controller to enter the configuration menu and then it will recognize the controller and ask you to set it up.All of that aside this controller is pretty great. The weight of the controller is decent not too light or too heavy. The buttons are responsive and feel very much like original SNES controller. I like how the xy buttons are concaved like the purple original SNES. This is a great alternative to the $45 Bluetooth competitors product. I definitely recommend these.

Great "plug and go" wireless joysticks for Pi use.
I wanted some retro joysticks to use on a Raspberry Pi, and these were the only ones I could find. I never owned a Nintendo, so I would have preferred one of the other retro models they sell, but they are not wireless. This set comes with two of the controllers and two of the small USB dongle receivers. Internal rechargeable batteries power the unit, using a USB *mini* plug (the old style one, before the current micro most everything uses). Don't lose the cable. You can't run down to the grocery store and pick up one of these any more ;-)It charges up, then "just works." Since it's USB to the computer side, it looks like a normal wired joystick with no special configuration required. (I found many Bluetooth controllers have lots of issues with configuration and extra programs needed to make them work.)Software like Lakka and RetroPie will walk you thought a configuration where you use a PC keyboard to navigate the menus, then press buttons on the controller when prompted ("press left, press A, press X"). Pretty simple, though some software makes this harder than others. They work fine. I've tested them with some freely available home brew console games in the Lakka emulator. They would suck for playing old school arcade games (they had joy STICKS for a reason), but it's cheap and worth the money.

Incredible Investment for Mass Amounts of Nostalgia
Disclaimer: I had a $3 credit offered by Amazon to make this review. However, this was offered by Amazon, and not the manufacturer, nor the seller. These controllers are great. The maker got everything right, down to the little details. The D-pad clicks, the button concave or reverse-concave. Even the feel of the plastic. I feel like I'm a kid again going to my friend's house to play his SNES. I play this on my Raspberry Pi 3+ Model B and have had absolutely no problems whatsoever. Tested on my PC as well. Just plugs in and works, no driver install required. 5 out of 5.

A pure joy!
I am amazed on how well these controllers feel and play. They worked great on my retropie built with pi 2.

non-standard d-pad, cheap feeling buttons
D-pad emits left analog stick signals instead of hat or dpad signals. not a deal breaker because normal use case is with an emulator and you can usually custom configure all your inputs. Button feel is harsh and clicky, feels cheaply made compared to other products I have tried.

Great value!
Surprisingly high quality! The buttons have a really good balance between click and mush that feels authentic to my memory of the OEM controllers. The d-pad feels a little elevated and wobbly, but I can pull Street Fighter II special move inputs with about 90% reliability, which is only a bit worse than me on a Dualshock 4.
