Strapped (Strapped Series Book 1)
HOLY HOTNESS! I found Strapped by Nina G. Jones from a group that I am in on Facebook. Strapped was voted on to be our group read for the week and I am very HAPPY that I read it. I loved Taylor Hudson & Shyla (Shy) Ball. He is a young, wealthy CEO of his own company. She is a self employed graphic designer. She bumps into him and spills her coffee on him and the story goes on from there. Taylor is a really lovable character and there are some really HOT love scenes between Taylor & Shy. Taylor has had a really messed up childhood and tries to keep his past a secret. He has anxiety issues and for some reason he is able to let Shy touch him. Taylor hires her to help him because "he has issues about touching people and certain things." Shyla is a very likable character and has her own past with secrets. She was in a long term relationship with a man from college and after she met Taylor things went downhill in that relationship and they ended up splitting up. I won't say more because that will be a spoiler moment.Funny how I learn of new things all the time from reading. I learned about Zentai Suits (think of the blue man group) I didn't know what they were so I looked it up. That was a little off track from the book but, there is a part in the book talking about Zentai suits.Nina will take you on a wild ride in Strapped. There are a lot of twists and turns and the ending is a killer. Thank goodness there is another book out already because there is a huge CLIFFHANGER and leaves you wanting for more! I can't wait to get started with Strapped Down

Dark, hot and Delicious
Shyla is in a relationship that has lost it’s spark. Fate seems to intervene when she spills her coffee all over Taylor Holden’s very sexy chest. This interactions will spark a series of events that neither will be able, or want, to stop.Taylor has complicated written all over him. As well as, alpha-male, hot as hell, rick and sex god just to name a few. But, he has his problems. Realizing that he has developed an emotional attachment to Shy, he sees that he will have to work through them and open up if he wants to win this game and her heart.Shy is not one to play games when it comes to her heart; but, there’s just something about Taylor that calls to her. So, when it’s time for Taylor to call check, will she be able to be his mate?Strapped has a darker side to it, it’s not the darkest one I’ve read but still has a nice edge to it. It’s extremely intense and has; BDSM, some child abuse, cheating and a massive cliffhanger. It will literally make you scream, and want to throw things. While parts of it really reminded me of 50 Shades, it still had me turning every page. My mouth dropped open when I finished this, and I just screamed “WTF?!” Lucky me, I was home and not in a crowded restaurant at the time. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. Strapped is an all-consuming drama and sex fueled game, I loved it.

Get ready for HOTNESS!
Holy. Cliff Hanger. Batman. This book took me on a ride that started with a serendipitous coffee house meeting that turned into serious intrigue, which ended with me yelling. YELLING at the top of my ever-loving lungs.Shyla Ball is our heroine and what an extraordinary woman she is. She goes from a meek, restrained girl to a strong woman willing to fight for what matters most. Her journey is remarkable in that she not only allows herself to be taught, but goes in search of knowledge. She goes through the second-guessing fairly quickly and once her mind is made up, she moves forward with astounding courage and commitment.Taylor Holden is an enigma. He is brutally handsome, wrapped up in eccentricity, plumbed with issues deep enough to keep him from ever fully loving anyone before in his life. And together? Well together….“My entire world is being devoured by this man, and I want nothing more for him than to swallow me whole.”That pretty much sums it up. When they finally come together, they proceed to begin eating each other whole. And it’s a glorious, sexy, gluttony to behold. In the midst of the incredible connection between these two people is a dark and sinister story unfolding around them. I was drowning in expectation for what was coming – fear and anxiety ramped up to almost unbearable heights at some points. And all of that anticipation served to make the read that much sweeter.Nina G. Jones crafts impeccable dialogue and her attention to detail is marvelous. Smells and tastes and sounds exist right alongside tone of voice, movement and spectacularly hot sex scenes. This book is truly a feast for the senses.Be grateful that the second book in this series, Strapped Down, is already available. You’ll still yell and cry and scream at the end, just like I did, but thank goodness you’ll be able to simply pick up the next book and dive right back in.

mild spoiler
When I read Debt I was completely wrapped up in the story and couldn't put it down. It was riveting. It didn't happen with this one. Strapped has been less intriguing and for the major part not able to touch my emotions. The love and feelings described in there turned out to be just words to me.Besides, I do have an issue about cheating. It has greatly contributed to spoil things to me.I know cheating happens but, in this case specifically, it made me dislike the h a lot. Rick was such a nice guy. Theoretically, the fact that he did not deserve it should be seen like something positive, meaning that it was a more realistic situation. But it’s just too hard for me to cope with this kind of cheating. She treated him horribly. Not only for this reason, I found Shyla a disappointing character, so different from Mia that I loved very, very much.So I kept reading wearily, rolling my eyes when another darkroom, playroom or whatever came into the picture, (I’m sick and tired of those) but then the three last chapters happened and I immediately recognize the NGJ that I liked so much in Debt. The last three chapters were so good that made me want to read the next book of the series.

pleasantly surprised!
I can't believe I overlooked this book! I think it has a new twist on an old formula, I have to say that although I thought is was going to be a bit predictable, I was pleasantly surprised by it, the main story of the who, where, and why was quite original, with some similarities to other stories in this genre but with an original baseline story. It's dark in places and the story flows, so much so that I read it in just under 5 hours, it's the first book of a trilogy, and as I have started the second book already, you will definitely need to read this one first. It won't be to everyones taste, but I really liked it! ;-)

Mr Grey meets Dexter a sexy dangerous read
Loved Loved Loved this book, yes it is in places very much like Fifty Shades but with a far more darker twist.A chance encounter in a coffee shop with a sexy stranger completely changes Shayla's normal, safe everyday life upside down for what she comes to realise for the better. As she gets drawn further into Taylor's life we all begin to realise there is far darker side to him than even she can imagine. The twists and turns in this book are excellent and the cliffhanger ending meant I could not wait to read the other books.

Stilted writing style
I like the story but I'm struggling with the writing style... "I am" instead of "I'm"... We are instead of "we're", it just doesn't flow and feels like a robot wrote it. I'm confused as I read "debt" by this author and loved it. I'm trying to read the story but getting distracted by the grammar and stilted writing style, shame.
