Cat6 Snagless Patch Cable, 5' Blue (A3L980-05-BLU)

My old cables, the clips were gone and kept on sliding out and this is a life saver.The clips on the ends kinda look cheap, I just hope they stay plugged in the devices and the clips don't break off like my old Ethernet cable did.

Ok i'll start by saying this I will give the cable 5 stars for the simple fact this isn't any issue with the cable , but in fact more of an issue with Onsale. they never inform you that this item is to be backordered, which I found out after 3 days and I noticed that my other 2 items that I ordered at the same time had shipped and this one did not, so I contacted Onsale and after over 3 hours they finally send me an e-mail saying it was backordered, so I try and cancel the item and get no response back! So I checked out the Onsale store and low and behold they are affiliated with Macmall who is notorious for taking peoples money on backordered items and not letting them know, so buyers beware I would recommend staying away from this seller. So now instead of hooking up my network I will have to wait maybe another 3-4 days for the new cable I ordered to get here, which is very unacceptable and very bad buisness practice.And by the way amazon is in the process of resolving this,but I figured I would let the everyone know the facts about this seller, it isn't the money which is chump change its more the fact that I now have to wait even longer for my product.

SEE UPDATE BELOW (5 Stars)I bought 10 of these cables and have used them in different places in my home with some success, but my home theater PC was limited to 100Mbps for some reason, so I switched the cable from the Ethernet switch to the wall out with one of these cables. I tested the speed again and it dropped to 10Mbps. I swapped one of these Belkin 5ft cables out for another one and tested it, still 10Mbps. I then switched the original cable (non-Belkin) back in and the test immediately showed improvement to 100Mbps.I don't know why this is happening, they are both Cat6, Unshielded Twisted Pair, but the other Ethernet cable is 10 feet instead of 5 feet.UPDATE (Oct-18-2015): This cable ended up not being the problem. When the tech wired my home, he accidentally switched two wires on the Cat5e cable connector on the other end (near my router). Now both cables I tested, this one and the other one, run at 1 Gbps.

I did a little research on ethernet cables. CAT6 is the newest version so far and is backward compatible. It positions you for the higher speeds that inevitably will be developed for computers and routers. I tested the cable and it worked fine. I like the bright blue color and the snag less clips at each end to prevent the plastic tabs from breaking off. I was surprised at how low the price was for such a high quality cable.

It handles a 1 gig broadband connection which is the reason for the purchase.

Great for keeping devices straight and not getting tangled up with what cable goes to which device. I am running two desktop computers with a total of four monitors at the same time. It gets confusing at times when I am trying to figure out which cable goes to which device. Spending a little more and buying the lengths I need also was a big help in keeping things straight. Need to purchase a few more cables like this.
