Foxy Gourmet Artichoke/Parmesan Dip Mix, 3.2 Ounce Boxes (Pack of 4)

After reading the review by another purchaser, I haven't tried this mix for its intended purpose as a cold dip, but it makes a great add-in for other things. In addition to the recipe for Artichoke Parmesan Linguini printed on the package (quick and delicious), fold it into your favorite formula for one of those breakfast casseroles that you can make up the night before, refrigerate, and throw in the oven in the morning. The latter, made with egg whites, unbleached flour, baking powder, plain nonfat yogurt, and chopped canned artichoke hearts, is my current go-to recipe for all of those occasions when one needs to bring a covered dish to a neighbor.

Mistook this product for one I had purchased elsewhere. I really liked it. I hate this one. For over $5.00 per box you would think this would truly be "gourmet". It is not. The other dip mix had freeze dried artichokes in it and cheese. All you had to add was mayo and sour cream. It was quick, easy and awesome. This is nothing but a bag of powder that is hard to reconstitute with mayo and sour cream. Then you have to add your own artichokes and cheese. What's the point of a mix if you have to provide virtually everything. The flavor is very artificial and for some reason still tastes like powder hours later. Yuck. What a disappointment.
