this movie is the bad minivan rental car 'free upgrade' that you shouldn't have accepted...
See Bulgar's review which is pretty accurate even though he only watched the first 20 minutes. We sat through the entire thing and the remaining 70 minutes isn't better. The camerawork is almost all from inside the car, so basically your watching Walker's face as he throws a fit everytime he makes a bad decision or blurry outside shots which make the chase scenes hard to follow.Ironically, the movie ends as they slip a fresh seat cover over one of the numerous bulletholes in the rental car, ignoring the bloodstains, and return the minivan to the rental car fleet: the only outside the car shot I recall shows the otherwise pristine exterior of the minivan with no indications that it had been shot up, wrecked, and painted by in exchange for a cheap watch (coming out brilliant/shiny red after being painted in a dark tent). The minivan is last shown in it's original dull grey color amongst a fleet of white rental cars looking as if nothing had happened to it (a brilliant summary of this movie's impact). The protagonist keeps making extremely poor choices which have been summarized by others. His Chrysler minivan rental car gets stuck on a flat, dusty road whereupon he throws a fit (the only funny moment to my car loving kids was he was spinning the rear wheels of his fwd) only to drive off as if he was never stuck after. What did we learn from this film: Maybe follow through when your wife tells you to show up or she is leaving you? If your phone keeps warning it's low on charge, maybe plug it in before a life or death phone call? Watch where you are going when you are driving? Throwing a fit doesn't help? Roll up your windows and lock your doors in bad neighborhoods? Drive on the left side of the road if the steering wheel is on the right?

Surprisingly good
You'll either hate it or love it. If you accept the premise that people in the world make terrible decisions in life, then you'll love the movie. People who land in jail make awful decisions or are in the wrong place at the wrong time. Michael Woods (played by Paul Walker) is both, which makes the unbelievable believable. I also like Paul Walker as an actor, and, unfortunately, he passed an untimely death in a car accident. You'll like the movie if you can accept Paul Walker's character. If not, it would be a pass.I enjoyed the movie, something different, and a taste of Johannesburg's South African crime.

Because Paul Walker
Some of the dialogue was a little repetitive at times, but great concept and plot overall. Rest in peace, Paul Walker!

Keep the bar low
Not being a Fast and Furious fan, I had no expectations of this character. I did not care for the soundtrack. The acting was fine. the plot was fine. Everything is a remake these days and Paul Walker is no Clint Eastwood, but I enjoyed his movie all the same. I always like seeing how much abuse these movie stunt cars can take and dish out.

Stupid
How anyone could consider Walker a good actor is beyond me. he is an ex-con, that is totally an idiot when it comes to crime, and makes bad choices the whole movie. How did he stay alive 15 mins. in prison if he is this dumb. Gets strange call on cell phone and tells everything he knows, not one time but several. Could not believe this character could exist, movie script writers had to be dumb as a rock to think they gave credibility to the script in this film.

Pig in a poke
I bought this DVD because of the actor billed and because my husband is a fan of the Fast and Furious movies. This movie was not fast---rather plodding most of the time.......Definitely not furious.......milk toast at best. When I watch a movie and keep saying "HOW?" it can't be good. How does a parolee end up there? How does one paint an SUV completely and perfectly in 5 minutes with a can of spray paint? These are just 2 of the confusing sub-plots.I don't recommend this movie unless you are just trying to fill in a gap of time with very minimal entertainment potential. Time might be better spent watching a re-run of anything!

Hmmmm
I generally am not picky about the movies I watch, and I am a huge Paul Walker fan, but honestly I could of walked away from this movie at any point. It was Paul Walker in a car the ENTIRE movie. I'm not sure how you have the money for Paul Walker but not enough for more than one set. But regardless of the fact it was extremely low budget it wasn't horrible. The story line was good and probably could have been done way better by someone else, but I would only recommend watching this if you have nothing else to do and it's free.

Wouldn't recommend
Brought the film twice as it wouldn't play when selecting 'play feature'. The second copy didn't either and to watch the film I have to go to 'scene selection'. Wouldn't recommend the film, rubbish storyline. Seems like they just wanted something to do.
