Inspired by another reviewer, I purchased this set of tiny construction vehicles for my two-year-old son to play with in an indoor "sandbox" during a snowy February. Instead of sand, I used a few bags of pearl barley. It made perfect "gravel" for the little vehicles to load. This entertained my son for many afternoons when it was too cold to be outside for long. Sharing a picture so that other parents can get a good idea of the size of these vehicles.

Not pleased!! I bought a set from Walmart last week for only $5.00 and it was the set that is pictured here on Amazon. We ended up using them for his sandbox so I wanted another set for inside play. I didn't really want to spend $2 extra on it but also would prefer not to make a return trip to Walmart ;) So I ordered this set. I understood that it says the styles vary but it didn't mention that the ones they send you have a cheap plastic feel and the wheels are completely different. The ones I purchased from Walmart (which again is the exact set pictured for purchase) have a much more durable feel and the wheels are all black. I will be returning the Amazon set and making that trip back to Walmart for the cheaper price and better quality!Top one is photo is from Amazon. Bottom is Walmart. Obvious differences!Update::: I was given a full refund, no questions asked. And I didn't even have to send the toys back! I like them much more now that they were free! 👍🏼

NOT THE PACKAGING ADVERTISED. While normally I wouldn't care what box it came in, I bought this as a gift and am now too embarrassed to give it as is, so I had to swap it with one of my sons. I taped a pic of it on top (as you can see in the pic) just so that when my son opens it he won't be discouraged (he is 2). If you are buying it for your kids it's fine, but for a gift the box looks like something that fell off the back of a truck and you got half off. The toys themselves are cute and work well but are flimsy plastic and will probably break in about a week.I would recommend shelling out the additional $$ for better quality ones.

I purchased these little trucks as an extra gift for a Halloween treat for a toddler. Honestly, it was just a filler present and didn't think they would get much attention. Was I wrong! Of all the goodies I included that I thought would bring him delight, it was this set of CAT mini machines that was the hit of the day! They may be plastic, but they are very well made with movable parts that bring my little one hours of fun. He carries them with him wherever he goes, and knowing the attention span of a 20 month old, that is saying a great deal!The price was great and the value extraordinary! I would definitely recommend this set of trucks!

Great deal when the price is right! My 3 year old son LOVES these and takes them to bed with him. He gets to be an entire construction site with the 5 different vehicles! We bought them to give away individually as favors for his birthday party. I liked the packaging we got with ours (not what is shown in the picture here), each set came in a cardboard box packed with tissue paper, easy to open and cute. The price on amazon.com fluctuates a lot, so watch the price and wait until they are around $6 to purchase (currently $12)! When I added it to my cart one week, it was at $5.99, then when I went to buy it, it was listed at $12. I waited a few more days, and it came back down to $5.89......

These are pretty much what you'd expect - cute little plastic construction vehicles. That being said, I bought them because my son (2.5) is obsessed with backhoes and wanted one for his sandbox. My kit did not come with a backhoe as was advertised. I'll probably request a replacement set. I'll update if the backhoe shows up....

I got these for my 1 1/2 year old and they have been an AWESOME investment. Of course we have to watch him still when he plays with them as there are small parts that could break off (he doesn't really put things in his mouth anymore though), but they keep him busy for long period of time. We give him a few cheerios to play with with them and he uses the trucks to "transport" the cereal. I paid $5 for them, and they are much better quality than I thought I would be getting for that price. They haven't broken yet and we've had them for 3 months and are played with pretty much every day. They are also great to bring to restaurants to play with while waiting for food.

False advertising. No road compactor (roller) was in the set. The vehicles I received do not look like the ones advertised. They are also made of poor quality. Notice the lack of details on the vehicles. The bulldozer's parts does not move. See the pictures for yourself. Definitely not worth the money!
