When my son outgrew his Britax infant seat I did hours of research and finally settled on the Graco Extend2fit based on its great reviews and moderate price. I absolutely hated it, and my son would scream the entire time he was strapped in it. I could never seem to get a good fit in either the seat itself or for my 1 year-old, 22 lb son. Next I tried the Britax Boulevard ClickTight with ARB. I have always exclusively used Britax car seats with my other children and had high hopes for this one. My car has second row bucket seats and this particular seat is HUGE! Once again, I could not get this seat to fit appropriately and unfortunately had to return it. I continued my search and for some reason this Chicco seat doesn’t come up on many “safest or best convertible car seat” lists but does get great reviews on Consumer Reports so I decided to give it a try. I could tell at once this seat would be different-it just looked super comfortable and my son did not fuss or cry when I put him in to try it. I then went to install it and this was the only seat I could install by myself and let me tell you it is rock solid—the installation of this car seat is amazingly simple and it really does take a quick pull of each latch strap. I did have to use a foam child seat positioner to get adequate recline, but the fit is perfect now!! Fits great in my bucket seats and my son loves it!!! Also seems to be one of the safest so I could not be more pleased with this purchase!!! Thank-you Chicco and Amazon!!

Super easy to install (in 2021 RAV4)! The latch system is exponentially easier than Graco. The sides are quite high which makes it a little difficult to put the child in if your short, but it seems much more safe, sturdy, and let’s not forget about easy to clean! Doesn’t leave bruises like our old Graco E2F! The belts glide so easily when tightening everything. This is a miracle seat, I swear! It also has a little compartment in the back to store the user manual. That’s so nice! I can’t recommend this enough!

I really love this car seat by Chicco! I had the mini bravo travel system and loved how well-made Chicco products are, so naturally when my baby needed to transition from the infant car seat to a toddler seat I was looking at Chicco brand! I had actually tried another cheaper brand looking for a second toddler seat for our other vehicle, but it just didn’t have that same feel and didn’t fit my son as well. He loves this seat and seems more content than in the infant seat. Nicely padded as well! Granted, this seat seams very heavy and bulky but I know it’s built to be protective so I can handle the bulky/heavy part! Highly recommend if you’re not sure whether to get or not! **Also just a note…if you have a smaller compact style car this may not work as well in the rear-facing position. I have a ford fusion and it was rough to get it to fit rear-facing. Perfect forward-facing though.

This is our 4th Chicco NextFit Zip Convertible Car Seat purchase for our two kids as we prefer to have 2 of them in multiple cars to avoid the hassle of moving them around for visits or pickups as they are very heavy. This model was the Consumer Reports highest rated car seat in 2022 when we first needed one and it has remained there as the highest rated harnessed car seat ever since and you will see why if you make this purchase. We got this model when we outgrew the infant car seat (Chicco Key Fit 35. Please trust me, you NEED an infant seat and you can go read my review for that one) at about 1.5 years old. It has been a perfect fit for our growing child that will soon be 4 years old. The straps adjust easily for growth changes and the zip off cover makes keeping this thing clean an absolute breeze compared to some less awesome competitors seats. This thing weighs a ton which if you’re not moving in and out of a car is exactly what you want it to be as it speaks to the sturdiness of this beast. I don’t want my kids in some flimsy lightweight chair so I love the hefty weight and size of this one. We initially used this as a rear facing seat which was extremely easy to install and set at a perfect recline depending on what we needed at the time. When it’s time to flip it around and sit up straight it’s a one and done job where your only adjustments going forward will be moving the straps to higher levels as they grow. Once your boss is old enough to control a cup by themselves, there are cup holders on the sides that may or may not be used to hold a cup BUT they will also be used to hide snacks, sticks, toys, boogers or other cool or completely gross items for you to only look for when your car smells like rotten fruit. Hot tip…check the cup holders regularly for hidden umm, treasures.

The Cadillac of car seats. Yes, this car seat is a bit more pricey, but hear me out. We initially bought this when my son turned a year old. Absolutely loved everything about it he sat comfortably in it, super easy and roomy while he was still rear facing and it’s SO EASY TO CLEAN!!!! You just unzip the cover and it pops right out.. no need to fiddle with annoying straps and trying to remember how things went back together. That had me sold until recently. We were in a really bad car accident, on the side that my son was on. Someone pulled out in front of us and we hit them. Our car was totaled but my son was perfectly safe and completely unharmed. I will be purchasing this car seat for all the future babies I have and will recommend it to anyone and everyone. Make the purchase, you won’t regret it! I cannot recommend this car seat enough! Remember, you get what you pay for. A $99 car seat sounds great, but I doubt it would have held up as good as this one did in our accident. I didn’t hesitate to purchase another one after the accident to replace the old one... seriously the best of the best right here!!
