It does work, but it's a bit flimsy to do the job I was looking for. I made a frame around it and it is still not getting the focused power I was looking for. If you want 1/2" spot then it's fine. I was hoping for 1/4" concentration of sun rays, and it did not deliver that. Maybe I was expecting too much out of it??

Perfect for our elderly residents

Contrary to several FAQ's this item does not magnify when laid flat on a page.
