Happy With This Purchase! Quiet and Effective Fan!
The things I like most about this fan are 1) It is super quiet running 2) It can move a lot of air if you want it to and 3) The light color and brightness options.I replaced an older fan that made annoying noise as it ran, this one is totally silent. There is one thing that is a minor negative, when you turn it on it makes and audible "click" from the fan. But that is really being nit-picky.I had no trouble with the installation. I especially like the way the power and ground wires have screw in connections instead of wire nuts. The fan looks really modern and cool, and I have received many complements on it. I am very pleased with this purchase and would buy it again for sure!

LOVE IT!!! Bought two more
Absolutely love this fan. I purchased my first one a couple years back and it is the version that does NOT have a dimmer function. Love how much air this fan moves and how quiet it is! … now with my second and third fans … that do have the dimmer function… I switched out my original one that still works just so I could have the dimmer function. Once I had it all up and running I noticed that the top speed is not as strong as it used to be. This is a bit disappointing to me as I loved how much air it originally moved. Upon doing some research, apparently, the dialed back the motor settings because some people complained about how strong the fan was. I wish they did not do this. Or maybe in the future they can dial back the first few settings for those people that desire the amount of air that a fly makes when buzzing past you and keep the airplane prop level 6 at max speed for those of us that live on the surface of the sun (aka Phoenix, Arizona) and want that blast of cold moving air to cool us off in 15 seconds flat when we are working on landscaping our yard in JULY and it is 117• outside … in the shade ! … I am keeping my original max air power model to use in another room when I have recessed lights installed that can be dimmed so I won’t care about the lack of a dimmer on the fan light anymore. As for my two new models with dimmers, they ware staying up on my ceiling as they are still a streamline, clean, modern, all white fan that will easily blend in with the ceiling when I paint it white. Three smooth plastic blades are very easy toDust and they do not catch as much dust as other fans because they are so slick and smooth. They also added two small drain holes in the light housing. This is likely for when the fan is mounted outside and might receive some condensation from humidity?Maybe someday they will bring back the super charged motor model … if so, I will buy many! If not, I would still buy the current model again. I plan to buy another one for my patio in all black to match my door hardware. Also, love that the packaging is molded cardboard and plastic protective bags. Bags can be recycled at the grocery store and cardboard can go in curbside recycle! (Other products that are shipped with molded styrofoam are not recyclable at curbside pickup!)Love love love! You will not regret it

Good product, but installation instructions poor written.
It's a high-quality product, but it's not perfect. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:[1] Reasonable price.[2] Good design aesthetically, and from an engineering perfective.[3] It moves a lot of air, and it is quiet.[4] The DC motor is probably 30% more energy-efficient than an equivalent AC motor.[5] The remote control is functional and easy to use. (Mine comes with 2 AAA batteries.)Cons:[1] The installation instructions are poorly written, so the buyer is probably better off skipping them.[2] The installation video on the Amazon order page is illuminating, but it only covers the most straightforward steps and omits the more complex tasks.[3] The fan rotation hesitates for about a second when it's switched on. (I believe this is characteristic of DC motor fans as it is also the case with another, much more expensive, ceiling fan I have.)So here are the tips for a successful installation:[1] The first task is to install the hanger bracket and connect your house's electrical wires to the connector terminal on one side of the hanger bracket. You will need a narrow flat-head screwdriver because the tubular plastic connector shields have a small diameter. Finish this step first, or you will have many frustrations when you try to hang the fully assembled fan.[2] Choose one, and only one, down rod. The 5-inch one already has the hanger ball fastened, but you can change it to the 10-inch rod. I used the 5-inch rod, but it's harder to work with because it leaves little room between the canopy and the hanger bracket.[3] Do not force the plastic connectors. They go it only one way. If they don't snap together smoothly, they are not aligned correctly. They will break if too much force is used.[4] The remote receiver goes into the hanger bracket, resting just above the hanging ball. That's the only way it will fit; otherwise, the canopy will not cover the hanger bracket and the wiring.
