Hide or Seek: When Men Get Real with God About Sex

I am starting my 3rd read of this book. My wife read it, then read it out-loud to me, so I guess it is actually my 4th time through this book. I gave a copy to my pastor. He read it and then summarized it to the entire church board and recommended it to them.As a PSA, I feel I must warn you. There is a story at the end of chapter 7, so touching, so poignant, so gripping, that I wept for hours. I was compelled to write to John, the author, and ask about the rest of the story of what happened to little Sam. He wrote back!I will have to agree with my wife who said "This is the single, clearest, best book we have read on this subject to date."

I value the insights of this book because it is so clear on hitting the reasons behind behaviors. No matter the specific struggle, the reality is that we typically medicate a deeper pain or longing. Free man's approach highlights this and treats it thoroughly with theology (the why behind the what).

Excellent read! Freeman wrote this book primarily to address sexual temptation from a male perspective, but I do believe that anyone would benefit from reading it. This is an excellent tool for understanding, diagnosing, and gaining freedom from the struggles that are of a sexual nature.Profound in getting down to the root of the subject, this book makes for an excellent discipleship tool in the church. I enthusiastically recommend!

If you struggle with your sexuality in any way read this book. It tells it like it is and like it needs to be.

I am often not impressed with books on this subject... but this is a good one. Especially like the focus on it all being done for us already. Great stuff.

One of the few books which is humble enough to admit that it won't fix all your problems, but that God has the power to instead. Using a lot of practical examples and a wealth of experience in counseling porn addicts, this book helps men realize they are not alone in their sin, but also not alone in having the resource, God, that can break their stubborn patterns of sin.
