Good value, bad instructions, great for safe toy chest
This is in many ways an excellent product. I bought the 15", 22.5lbs pair for my daughter's vintage toy chest, which has a heavy wooden lid. I wanted to make it stay open and soft close. Even with a heavy wood lid, only one strut was needed, and even then it's a little on the strong side and hard for her to close. But it's safe, works as advertised, and seems good quality. My only issue is that from the description, it's difficult to choose which size/version is right for your usage, and the installation instructions are virtually useless. I am pretty handy and I had to really think about it, play around, watch some YouTube videos of similar products, and even then I had to undo and redo it several times to get it right. But once I did it worked just like I wanted. Great value for the price!

Worked out perfectly!
Comes with 2 shock arms that lift 22lbs together (I only needed one). One arm worked perfect to replace a broken shock arm on my snowmobile trailer access door. One arm lifts 11lbs. The access door is only a few pounds so it handles the lift easily. Simple 30min installation with a few tools.

Good quality items, “cart before the horse” service (but still good)
These struts are great, the fit and finish looks good and the price was much better than on other websites. Thus far, they’re working well and I’m pleased. Only time will tell on the durability. Their documentation says to send them an email if I had any questions or needed help and they’d respond within 24 hours. I wanted the “open” position to be at a 45° angle and I asked them for modified mounting dimensions. They DID respond within 24 hours and the information was spot on. The ONLY reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is it’d be helpful if they provided fitment and installation guidance BEFORE purchasing. I originally bought struts from them that I thought were correct (based on YouTube videos and other sites) only to find out they were not right. The instructions included with the struts are very good, straight forward and helpful in getting the proper fitment. It would have been nice to have that upfront rather than buy the wrong thing, have to return them and get the right thing. Not a big deal, however.

Fixed bulkhead Door works great
I repaired a broken bulkhead torsion spring, by installing this gas shock. Now the door opens and shuts with ease. Before fixing the door had no support and would slam when closing and the door would be heavy when opening. In order for gas shock to clear bulkhead door I had to mount on spacer blocks. The spacer blocks were 4” x 4” X 4” blocks that I cut from a 4x4. In order to have full travel when opening & closing door, I had to install in very specific location. I tried mounting in several locations, before mounting in location that would allow full travel open to close. This mount location is the only location I could get full travel. The bracket mounted on door was installed as close as possible to bulkhead hinge (see close up pictures). The spacer on door is mounted so it just barely clears the bulkhead. Also I rotated gas shock bracket on door so the bracket attached to shock is closest to door hinge as possible, because the hole on bracket that attaches to shock is offset, not centered. It works good and door has full travel from open to close. I used the 22.5-pound shock because I measured the force to open using a fish scale attached to edge of door as I opened door.

Good price, quality and selection. Amazing customer service.
I needed replacement struts to hold up the rear deck on my boat. There are lots of options on Amazon, but selected the Arana and I’m glad I did. I was replacing 40lb struts, but could only find 45lb. Bought them thinking it would be fine. Arrived quickly, but I got caught up in other projects so didn’t get around to installing for a few weeks. When I finally did, one of the struts bent. I guess it was too much for my application. I tried to return through Amazons standard returns, but was about a week outside of the return window. I contacted Arana and they were super helpful. They offered to either refund or replace the struts and even agreed to send me the 25lb struts. Like the original order, they arrived in a couple days. I installed them and they worked perfectly. Arana even followed up with me to make sure I was happy. In these days when it’s hard to find good help and we’re told to expect less, Arana provided more. If you’re trying to decide which Amazon vendor for your strut needs, go with Arana!

6-10LBS, NOT 65LBS. LIGHTWEIGHT!
Updated to 3 stars. This company has phenomenal customer service. They really tried to do right here, and advised me the item I received was miss-packaged and were the 10lb units. They issued a replacement and I had it within 3 days. However... it still didn't do the job right nor support the stated weight. I literally removed the entire lid and weighed it. One should handle it, but both could not. The metal bracket literally began to bend near the ball joint, again. At this point, I'm just going to deal without shocks. I'd rather do that than trust something and have it fall on my head and cause some severe head or neck trauma. ORIGINAL REVIEW Garbage. The listing says 65LBS, the packaging says 65LBS, the instructions says 6-10LBS! And at a 15 pound load for 2, they are completely non functional. No way this strut is 15”. Stick to something better.

These work perfectly, but you have to size them right.
Don't be fooled by Amazon's red-box proclamation that this item is frequently returned. Most likely, people don't understand how to size these struts for their application, so it's hit-or-miss on getting it right, understandably. I used these on a queen camper bed, and I can now lift the bed with literally one finger. It stays open until I push it back closed, so as far as I'm concerned, these worked perfectly for me. Look around for information on "sizing gas struts" and you'll get some advice on how to choose.

Kubota RTV. Perfect
These work perfectly to replace Kubota Hood struts on their 1100 series RTVs including the 1120 and 1140. No changes necessary as all hardware fits perfectly. You get two so you get a spare. The 67lb unit 15 inch provides a perfect strength and fit.
