BENFEI VGA to HDMI Adapter, 1080P Converter with Audio from Computer/Laptop VGA Source to HDMI TV/Monitor

Simple and works perfectly. I had another manufactures unit that seems to have died on me. Not sure why but this unit works perfectly on my older Dell laptop to connect HDMI to a standard TV, get one before tariffs kill the excellent value and pricing!

First, I didn't test the audio because I don't need it and because my resurrected Windows XP was having some driver issues. You can read other reviews about audio stuff.I tried a very similar, cheaper product a year or two ago and it was terrible and only worked intermittently, so I got what I paid for. I recently purchased a USB to HDMI converter which would supposedly work with my older Windows XP system. I'm not a newbie to this stuff and tried pretty much everything and it didn't work. This product just works.Plug it in. It..just..works. Mg old computer never looked so good as on a 32" monitor, and my monitor is only 720p. Resolution is fill screen and good. Since it works so well with an older version of Windows, I expect you'll be pleased if you have a newer version.I highly recommend this product, and will definitely be buying from the Benfei company again.

The media could not be loaded. Never thought I would see the day! Window XP bare metal install on my ultra wide monitor through HDMI! This old Dell Optilex is still kicking thanks to this great little converter. Oh and the sound works too! So easy to use. I literally just plugged it in. XP identifies it as a USB audio device and it functions great. It won't display my bios screen so I can't get to to my ventoy USB drive boot screen. So I can't test Linux. I've read that video works but sound isn't supported.

I used this on my tv got full screen but no sound. I used one from ebay got sound but smaler picture. I use the amazon right now. By one from amazon that has sound jack on it.

I had a different brand fail after about a years use (screen started slowly flickering on and off). This unit is a much more professional build, look and feel, and is currently working perfectly. I am using it on an "INTEL BLKD945GCLF MITX W/ATOM 1.6GHZ CPU" PC that is 15 years old and has on board video, vga only output. I run the video (and keyboard and mouse) to a four PC KVM switch.I'm not sure it matters, but I powered down the PC, plugged in the USB, then the video (witch goes through the switch), and then started the PC.Screen resolution is as good as the VGA output can deliver, no degradation.

Because of stuff I do, I have a DOS computer, a Windows XP computer and a Windows 7 Pro computer. These three computers have VGA ports only, while my extension monitors only have HDMI or DisplayPort. This adapter work perfectly the first time out on all three with my old computers, including the DOS computer!

This cable works great! I'm completely happy with it. It adapts the VGA output on my video card to a crystal clear HDMI signal. I recommend the product and the seller.

This device has allowed me to finally mirror my old PC (with a VGA monitor) on to my new Amazon Fire TV. And it includes audio transfer as well. Now I can watch (and listen to) whatever media is playing on my PC on the big screen. When nothing else worked for me, this did -- simply connect both the VGS and the USB plugs into the back of your computer, then connect that via an HDMI cable to an HDMI port on the back of your TV. Very nice.
