Great Well Built Steamer
I was tired of the cheap steamers where the plastic steam trays were thin and easily crack. We use our steamer quite often. This one has all metal trays, is lightweight and small to fit easily under cabinet. Well built. Love having two all metal trays. Removable power cord for easy cleaning. Steams very well for cauliflower mashed potatoes! Glad we purchased this steamer for a few extra dollars

Good steamer...limited directions...buy a basic steamer book. There are many good ones available.
It is a quality Steamer And works very well. There are some directions telling length of time for various foods Which is helpful. But it does not tell how much water to add..I am glad I have it But the directions in the book are not great so.,, I went to a book on steaming I already had to get answers.

Much better than plastic steamers
We steam a lot of veggies in our house. We've been through 2 plastic steamers in the past 5 years or so. We almost always hand wash them but they just get brittle over time. We were going to try to find on Black Friday but it was almost impossible to find steamers. Apparently steaming your veggies isn't cool anymore. Looks like all the kids are air frying everything but whatever... :)This thing works great. I love that it's stainless steel with a glass lid. I haven't had any issues with bottom heating area rusting. It is discoloring a bit due to being heated but I'm not surprised by that. Yes the holes are big in the pans. If you do anything around pea size you'll lose it through the holes. You'll have to steam those items in another container. Inconvenient but not the end of the world. It does take longer to steam things in this steamer compared to our other ones. About 20 minutes for most veggies compared to 12-15. Don't fill it too much unless you're steaming for a long time. Not enough water will run it dry. Too much and it will take an hour to steam those green beans.I like that the cord can be removed. I wrestled with the built in cord on our last steamer. It always seemed to flop out of the cupboard...mocking me. This one gets pulled and tossed in one of the pans. This makes for easier storage. Overall we're very pleased. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

Excellent kitchen steamer
I adore this timed steamer. I can walk away and my vegetable PERFECTLY STEAMED, my eggs are hard boiled. No worries about jumping out of the shower or running to the stove. The plug unplugs so the bottom pot can be rinsed under the sink. What a time and stress saver! Everthing tastes geat. Stainless steel! See through glass lid. Lityle ticking sound and red light when its on. Aito shut off. Next to my ninja juicer this is my favorite appliance.

This is the third one we've gotten
We love this steamer. Secura keeps changing the design a bit, over the years. We've been using a Secura electric steamer nearly every day for the past 8 years. They will stop working after a few years, so we just buy another one. The way we see it, we use it more than the average person and it's well worth the money to buy a new one every three or four years. It's such a great, easy, and healthy way to cook. We do beans, broccoli, carrots in it. Most nights we do all our vegetables in it. It's great at reheating chicken as it does it without drying it out as you would do in a microwave. Salmon comes out beautifully. I highly recommend it.

Steams well, but made poorly
Let me start with the good parts. The product steams well and is easy to use. Now the bad. Before I purchased this product, I read reviews of this one and the digital version of the same product. I saw several reviews about poorly made handles etc. But I opted to give the product a try. I used it three times in the 19 days I had the product. It steamed well. But the handle broke on the third use. The plastic top handle of the pot lit literally broke apart when removing the lid. No, the screw did not break. The plastic simply broke. You can see from the pictures. The first picture is the top of the cover that broke. The second picture is the same part flipped over. You can see the serrations where the plastic broke. The third picture is the part from which the lid broke apart. The fourth pic is a close up of the third.Again, the steamer works well. The plastic material lid parts are poorly constructed. If you don't care about the lids and handles breaking, I would recommend you getting. But if having properly working lids and handles are important to you - then "Caveat Emptor"
