Good replacement unit but colors are somewhat muted
Initial impressions after replacing a broken LG screen with this unit is that the colors are not as vibrant as the original screen and max brightness appears slightly less the original, so one star removed. The difference seems minor so far, so compared with replacing the phone the lower cost of replacement is still worth it. Other than that, the build quality of the component is excellent. A perfect fit. The digitizer response feels just as good as the original. Inclusion of a tempered glass protector is appreciated.I have replaced over 100 Apple device screens and few Androids. Android are generally more complex and this phone is no exception. I would not recommend attempting this repair without any experience. Most videos online show replacement of the screen and digitizer only, while this unit includes the entire frame. Having a new frame was beneficial in my case because the damage extended into the metal. This means you must transfer more parts than most videos will show, including the buttons, button base and flex cable, front-facing camera, a long very malleable metal heat sink, speaker gasket, battery adhesive, etc. Also don't lose the little black plastic piston that pops out the SIM card tray.
