Portable and functional.

Works well, convenient to store
It has been a great experience using this compressor so far. I use it with a staple gun for upholstery.

Might be too small for everyday use
Love everything associated with festool and systainers, however..... This very well built compressor has very little staying power. True to the manual it takes 35 seconds to charge but as soon as demand is put on the system the pressure immediately drops to 80ish psi and the compressor starts again. Continous demand just drops the pressure until nothing is available. I understand this is a small compressor but the manual clearly states it cannot be run for more than 3 minutes without a 7 minute cool down.Again, great quality but seemingly only useful for the most minor of uses like inflating a soccer ball. A little pricey when a $50 compressor can do the same thing. Just be aware before spending $500.

cfm rating
Just an observation: I have both the Rolair wheelbarrow and pancake compressors, and have had full confidence in the reliability and durability of their products. I am interested in this compressor for its compactness, stackability, and db rating. Having said that, as a finish carpenter, I have been primarily using a similarly priced Thomas Ultra Air Pac for the last decade. Also compact and quiet, but tippy, and only 1 cfm. I have to say that in my professional opinion, it exceeds all my expectations for running one or two finish guns at a time. Neither compressor will run a blow gun or air sander for any length of time, or nail off wall or subfloor sheeting, nor was it designed to do so. 2cfm is plenty for finish work. I have full faith in the Rolair brand, and its ability to stand up to years of daily use. Looks like I will be upgrading my finish compressor soon.
