SUNWAYFOTOPCL-R Dedicated L Plate/Bracket for Canon EOS R Camera Arca Compatible Sunway

I bought this because their Sunwayfoto said this model should fit my full frame Pentax K1 Mark II camera. First it is a solid built L-Bracket, and fits my mounts for my tripod head. But with that said, it did not fit my K1MII camera at all. It was too small on the width. I would recommend it for smaller DSLR cameras. Because of the construction of the L-Bracket it still gets five stars.

The bracket is nicely packaged, but I would swap the velvet bag for removing some of the super sharp edges and corners. I actually don't mind having to fix new stuff, since it seems to be necessary with so many products these days. What you get for the money is excellent. The fit on my EOS R is excellent, and it works really well with my tripod head.

Great product but pricy

I've been looking for an L-bracket that doesn't have the break in the side piece. When shooting night-photography or pano-scapes, the ones with the cable break aren't very sturdy and would result in a lot of camera shake. I was excited about the sturdiness and quality of this new one but when I mounted it, It would not line up correctly on the base of the camera. The slot for the lock pin was milled incorrectly to about a millimeter off and resulted in the bracket being about 3 degrees out of alignment. I tried several different ways to align it but it would never get straight. Sent it back.

But feels like quality and is better built. Fully adjustable. Worth the extra dollars in my opinion.

Make sure that you get the right bracket for your camera I did not do that I thought I had but this one doesn’t fit so I’ll have to send it back that being said it’s a little on the expensive side

Works well but there is a slight wobble that I did not want to chance other negative impacts by over tightening.

Perfect fit for the EOS R. I gave it 4 stars because it's well built and holds solid but it doesn't have a slot for the remote cable. That would have made it 5 stars. I checked my ballhead and it fits the Arca Swiss ballhead perfectly. Nice solid construction and holds the camera tight. Definitely a good L Bracket for the price.

This is a very good L bracket for Canon EOS R. After a lot of research, I decided to go for this rather than RRS or Kirk. It fits perfectly and the quality is very good. I have other RRS L brackets but this is as good for lot less money. Note it does restrict full motion of the screen - but so do all the other L brackets for EOS R, including the RRS one. Don't hesitate to get this. I also have the same company's L bracket for the a7III.
