Buy All the Ways to be Smart: the beautifully illustrated international bestseller that celebrates the talents of every child by Bell, Davina, Colpoys, Allison (ISBN: 9781911617877) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Such a beautiful book with a powerful message - This is such a lovely book. It was recommended to me by a friend and I got it for my two children (three and five). There is a lovely rhythm and rhyme to it with some beautiful illustrations. The message in the book is a very good one, especially if they are at school/nursery and perhaps sometimes feel like they cannot do things as well as other children. The message in the book is essentially that we are all smart in our own special way. I would definitely recommend this book and this is a lovely calm, nighttime read. Review: A new favourite! - Beautifully written with a great message. Cannot recommend it enough.

Beautiful and encouraging book
A gorgeous book that celebrates the unique qualities of every child, showing that the things that make them smart aren’t ‘just ticks and crosses’ and ‘knowing all the answers ever’, but can also be things like creativity, kindness, caring, asking questions, day-dreaming, and just being yourself. The lovely rhyming text and vibrant illustrations with splashes of neon make this a truly unique book. Perfect for little ones starting school, but great for a wide range of ages!

Lovely read.
Great message. Well written, easy to follow. 5 year old enjoyed. Quicker read than what we are doing currently but the message is so important and well expressed. Also lots of racial diversity in the illustrations. Thumbs up.

Fun and Uplifting
What a lovely message for everyone. If only I had known all the ways to be smart when I was growing up!! My children love to point out all the things they can do and all ways they are smart. Thank you for a great addition to our little library!!

Rhyming goodness
Lovely rhymes and illustrations that young kids (around 2 years plus) can relate to. Good length and easy to read for bedtimes - no dark fonts on dark pages which is difficult to read in a dark room!

"Smart is not just ticks and crosses, smart is building boats from boxes." School is not everything. And test scores certainly aren’t everything. If only every child could hear that, I think it would make a big difference in a lot of lives. Society is doing a very good job making children believe they’re worthless if they aren’t good at tests. Now it’s up to loving adults - both parents and teachers - to take it upon themselves to make sure their kids are not internalizing that dangerous message. And I'm telling you right now, All the Ways to Be Smart is the absolute perfect way to deliver this lesson. This picture book is a celebration of creativity and the imagination. It's a celebration of empathy. It's a celebration of individuality. This is true meaning of life stuff that every child needs to hear. It should be written into the curriculum at every single school, and it should be found in every home library. This book goes to battle for a child's right to be a child. And it hammers home the point that there is NOT one single definition of being smart. There are MANY ways. Smart is telling stories, being nice to others, being curious, using your imagination. This book rewrites the dangerous notion that some people are smart and some people are not, and it's executed so brilliantly. I ensure you that this book makes crystal clear to children that everyone is smart, and everyone has value. This is the most remarkable, feel-good celebration of childhood I’ve ever read. The only thing you’ll find in these pages is a relentless onslaught of positivity and confidence-boosting beauty.

I found this one is rather ordinary. It doesnt feel tied up together and is too vague for children to understand.

This book is on high rotation in my classroom. A beautiful and clever rhyming books that reminds children that being good at maths and reading isn’t the only way they can be ‘smart’. I highly recommend for parents and teachers

El libro tiene una rima agil y divertida que a los niños les encanta. Es gracioso pero audaz y el mensaje es maravilloso: no solo se es inteligente de una manera... perfecto para empezar el cole. Las ilustraciones son muy bonitas. Muy recomendable
