What a wonderful product. My cat absolutely loved this so much I bought one for upstairs and one for downstairs. This became the spot for scratching excitedly, playing with toys, taking naps, and just hanging out. I bought other scratchers from Chewy, but he only wanted this one. One of the best cat products I've ever bought.

A great scratch lounge for my cat! I bought one a year ago and bought another one on amazon to replace it. It lasts a super long time. My cat loves laying in it and seems to like its size for laying in.

Cats love these scratching boards, but this one is also a place they love to sleep in when they're not scratching it. I had to order extra ones because two of my three cats got jealous of the one cat always sleeping in it. And the cat nip was a welcome bonus product, which my cats quickly got a little high from. Nice product!

My cat Cyrus loved his lounger. He’s a big boy at 19 pounds but fits comfy in it. I bought this over 2 years ago and it’s high quality and indestructible. I highly recommend it. Every so often I add some catnip to it.

There's not much to say here that everyone else here hasn't said already. - If you feel discouraged for the price, you can wait a little bit for the price to change. I was able to get it for $18/each rather than the original $25. - If you live near a TJ Maxx, you might be able to get it from there for as little as $12. I unfortunately discovered this 1 day too late... - Yes, it is a glorified cardboard box but it WORKS. They love it and it generally looks better than having a box lying around. Plus it's got the scratch pad with my 2 cats actually use. - My cats have generally preferred scratching downward rather than upward. We have bought multiple vertical scratch posts but they really just rub against them without scratching them. - One of our cats was never trained to scratch so he constantly goes at the furniture and the screen door. Literally within 1 minute of putting out this Scratcher, he jumped right on and started scratching! We almost cried. - They love to sit in it. All day long. It's really cute. - FYI, the scratch pad at the bottom is reversible so you get twice the use out of it. - My cats actually like to scratch the sides. They like to lie inside and flip around a bunch and they actually use the side scratching areas. - I like to leave one of the headboards on (they come with boards on both ends so that the entire thing is like a box but you can remove both) because they like to lie right up against it and use it to push themselves off and wibble around. Sometimes, when it comes to cats, the simplest design is the best design. You can spend tons of money on fancy scratch posts or toys with lights but honestly, cats just want a box, some tissue paper, and a piece of wire. So, if you're thinking about it, stop and just get it.

This is our 2nd time buying one. We have a 3 legged cat who loves this. It's worth this price. Our first one lasted years and was used daily.

One of my cats just loves the Original Scratch Lounge and hasn't tired of it in over 5 year. While he does scratch it sometimes, he mostly lies on it to relax. It is pretty sturdy and "reasonably" priced compared to other comparable cardboard scratchers of this kind. He used to be a really big cat when I bought my first Scratch Lounge - around 25 pounds!! (see photo) - and fit comfortably in it, so it is big enough for really big kitties. You can make this last longer by vacuuming the 3 cardboard pieces and also flipping them over. (I also recommend vacuuming to remove dust and, if you get bugs, to make sure no bugs start making a home in it.) Unless you have the type of kitty who routinely chews through cardboard and (especially if you don't keep her claws clipped) claws through cardboard easily, you may not need to replace this more than once a year or even less frequently - mine last longer. One nice development is that you can now buy replacement inserts (the cardboard inserts didn't use to be sold separately) and save a little money. The only reason I've given this 4 stars instead of 5 is that my other two cats have no interest in The Original Scratch Lounge at all and never use it, even though my youngest (who is a very active 1-1/2 year old) likes to chew paper bags and some types of corrugated cardboard toys or boxes. It comes with a very small bag of cat nip.

Meine Schwester empfahl mir die Scratch Lounge, nachdem sie damit bei ihrem Kater so tolle Erfahrungen gemacht hat. Zunächst bestellte ich nur eine Scratch Lounge, um zu Testen, ob meine beiden Katzen sich überhaupt dafür interessieren würden. Denn nicht jedes gut gemeinte Spielzeug/Möbelstück für Katzen überzeugt diese auch. Ausgepackt und hingestellt, waren beide sofort zur Stelle und stritten sich um den Platz darin. Also wurde schnell eine zweite Scratch Lounge bestellt, damit jede ihre eigene hat. Vom ersten Tag an waren die Kästen ungemein interessant für die Katzen, sie kratzen darin, sie wälzen sich, liegen wirklich lange darin und haben ganz offensichtlich immernoch ihren Spaß. Optisch finde ich die Scratch Lounge sehr ansprechend. Sie ist liebevoll gestaltet und sehr robust. Die Kopfenden sind bei mir dran geblieben. Auch nach einem halben Jahr sehen beide Kästen trotz nahezu täglicher Nutzung (noch häufiger werden nur die Katzenklos aufgesucht) tadellos aus. Zugegeben, der Preis ist schon recht hoch, wenn man bedenkt, dass es sich nur um einen "Pappkarton" handelt, aber die Freude, meine Katzen auch nach Monaten noch darin zu beobachten, zu sehen, wie wohl sie sich fühlen, ist unbezahlbar. Daher kann ich an dieser Stelle eine klare Kaufempfehlung geben! Es war vermutlich die bisher beste Anschaffung für meine Katzen.

I had one of these a few years back that cost me $10 at Walmart but they no longer carry it so I looked on here and here it's $50 OMG WTH anyways I gave in and ordered one and as soon as I put it on the floor my kitty looked at it then at me and went right for it and didn't leave it for 3-4 hours until it was supper time then right back in she went LOL cutest thing ever and then her sister slept in it a couple of nights instead of with me but that's okay as long as they are happy. It was so adorable. I'm tempted to order another one but $50 is a lot of dough for me. We'll see how this one holds up as well as the first one. It lasted years. I am not kidding! Then my younger one threw up on it LOL so that was the end of it and we haven't had one since because I couldn't find one and now here they are. It's only been a couple of days so I'll update it's longevity and a few months.

Ich (Katzenpsychologin) habe 4 (unterschiedliche) Katzen. Normalerweise gibt es kaum ein Spielzeug, Futter, Körbchen,... dass alle 4 gleich(zeitig) stark bevorzugen. Dieses Teil ist jedoch die Ausnahme. Alle 4 sind von dem Teil begeistert. Da wird fröhlich wild gekratzt (selbst die ganz schüchterne) aber auch langgefletzt, darauf gelümmelt und geschlafen. Zu Beginn hätte ich fast noch mehrere kaufen müssen, da die sich fast darum gestritten haben, doch inzwischen hat sich jeder seine eigene Kratz-/Liegezeit geschaffen. Wünschenswert wäre jedoch eine XL-Variante für Maine-Coone-Katzen. Unsere quetscht sich zwar auch drauf, aber Kopf oder Hinterbeine hängen immer drüber hinaus... Super stabil gebaut, noch nach Wochen kaum eine Abnutzung zu sehen. Total einfache Konstruktion. Kartonhülle + 3 feste Wellenkartonagen-Blöcke + 1 Säckchen Catnip (Katzenminze?). Obwohl eine meiner Katzen mit Katzenminze/Baldrian/Geißblatt nix am Hut hat, dieses Catnip mag Sie, schreckt Sie nicht ab oder interessiert Sie zumindest nicht... Das Catnip auf den Kartonboden streuen (wenn gewünscht - vielleicht vorher mal die Katzen dran schnuffeln lassen, ob der Geruch für sie überhaupt angenehm ist) und die 3 Blöcke auflegen - Fertig. Super Vorteil, wenn denn doch mal eine Seite ziemlich abgescratcht ist, kann man die Blöcke einfach rausnehmen und umdrehen. Also noch mal so langer Spaß.

Juniper loved this right away. It’s a good size and well built I’m really pleased with the purchase. It’s pricey and I hope it lasts a long time
