This GREAT AUTHOR DOES IT AGAIN! Great story
This was a short story, but very easy to be drawn into the plot; before you know it, you can't put it down. The main character is self described as different. She is.I really enjoyed the little plot twists when they occurred.Mr. Goodkind has it going on no matter what genre he chooses to write about. He attacks with a passion from beginning to end.

What the Hell
How do you start a read like this and leave it so short.... This was just a taster.....I am afraid that the rest of the book is too late in coming. Damn you Goodkind! This is just fantastic, about as good as the Sword of Truth series.... Which is my favoritest series ever. Keep up the good work... Seriously particularly for this line.

Thrilling and action-packed!
Great story! A brisk, short read packed with action and an introduction to the thrilling and deadly, Angela Constantine. I liked that she's a wounded soul, tired of the evil of the world, and she's fighting back. I also liked the length of the novella. Perfectly bite-sized and a fun read. Stellar work, Terry. Thanks for the great story. More please!

Do not mess with Angela Constantine!
Trouble's Child is a great short story. I was caught up right from the get go - very interesting characters and p!ot. Oh my goodness, on my goodness what is going to happen next? I certainly like Angela Constantine. There are all kinds of heroes and she is definitely one. She is described as a wounded soul; but she can let that keep her down or she can use it to become stronger and more effective. Thankfully Angela Constantine chose the latter. Yea!. I do not want to give anything away except the action is non stop and the conclusion so satisfying. It had everything I want in a story - strong women, super plot, and wild nature at its best. I just wish it had been longer.

A stellar series well worth the time and $$$
I first read The Nest and fell for the character/concept. Couldn’t wait for Girl in the Moon to be released. Both were fast paced and hard to put down. I found these novellas which pre date Girl in the Moon. Held me over for a bit until the next one (hopefully) is released.

I couldn't stop reading this book.
I think that this book should definitely be rated FOR Adults 21 and above.. BUT it took a little while to realize that it was related to Terry Goodkind's book The Nest !! And it took me a bit to get into that book to . This book was way too short.. does Angela Constantine adopt the Wolf? He is obviously watching out for her since she saved his life through the surgery..BUT I really liked IT. BUT Troubles Child was just too short a read this time..

... is a short novella [64 pgs] that is the perfect introduction to the character Angela Constantine
Trouble's Child is a short novella [64 pgs] that is the perfect introduction to the character Angela Constantine. It is not necessary to read before reading [the full-length novel] The Girl in the Moon though it might be a good idea to try it first - if you like it, then you should have no issues with The Girl in the Moon.

Another great Terry Goodkind novel and new series
Another amazing story from one of the greatest story tellers of this generation. I cannot wait for the next book to be released. It appears that this series has the potential to be just as great as The Sword of Truth series with characters as rich and complex as Richard Rahl and Khalan Amnell. Once you start this book and series you will not want to put it down. If you' have never read a Terry Goodkind novel and find this one great I could not recommend Wizard's First Rule from The Sword of Truth series with more excitement as you begin to an entire new world with characters so real and a world so exciting with hidden literature treasures. I hope you find the Midlands and D'hara as real as I did and feel that true sense of being there and belonging as you fight alongside in good vs evil.

Typo's a pain.
I really enjoyed this short but sweet story introducing a great new character.Terry Goodkind is a brilliant writer, Really draws you in. And yes a real page turner. I am looking forward to the full novel.I have deducted one star because of the Typo's. How dose the proof readings? There is even one where they misspell the main characters name. Angel instead of Angela. And the word card instead of Cart.Totally unacceptable.|Come on Amazon sort it out

Appearances are deceiving
Please be aware that these are Novellas not novels and so are a lot thinner. The sizing of books is strange as they're longer and wider than the first book "The girl in the moon". Also the first books "The girl in the moon" and "Crazy Wanda" have matching cover styles, this one..... No. Bit disappointing as now they're not a matching set. This was a gift to my girlfriend. It's a good job she was pleased with the other books

Excellent intro to angela consantine
Another great read by Goodkind and possibly the only book in which nobody is called Rahl. The book is short and so you only get a vague undersanding of Angela's circumstances. The story runs head long through a tightly written and sometimes surprising plot. The time period is set after the girl in the moon (also worth a read).

Brilliant Quick Read!
Lovely quick read. Very descriptive throughout. Great characters and good plot. Guessed what was going to happen towards the end (no spoilers here!) First book I have read by this author but definitely not the last. Highly recommend.

Short but Sweet.
The book was short but I had to read it all at once as I needed to know the resolution. Characterisation is good and enabled clear people to form in the imagination. I did want to know more about the main character, Angela, however. I hope her next appearance is not so brief.
