Street Fighter III: Ryu Final, Vol. 1

This book has amazing artwork, and the story breaths so much life into the world of Street Fighter. Its a very literal exploration of what it means to be a martial "artist", and I'm here for it.

I bought this book for my brother, but I was inclined to read it before I gave it over. I read it in a half hour, and it was awesome. I'm a huge fan of Street Fighter, and this showed an inspiring journey of Ryu, the main character. In his journey, he gets tutelage under the powerful fighter Oro, and battles others such as Hugo, Yun and Yang, and his toughest opponent Dudley. The book also shows Ken surprisingly surpass Ryu in becoming a "true martial artist", and under Oro, Ryu hopes to catch up to his friend and rival, Ken. Their is also a little back story on Akuma, the demon, and briefly displays others such as Elena, the beautiful and friendly African fighter, and Gill, the "supreme god". I thought the book was clever, inspiring, and artistically well done.

I grew up playing SF and love the legacy and the culture that it has brought to gaming. If you like the Udon comics, love the original SF: Animated Movie, feverish about SFIII: 3rd strike, then you will enjoy this book.Ups: Great Art, great fights, nice match ups, smooth story, artist and writer is also a fan, all around great.Downs: True fans would want a 13 manga series b/c it feels short and doesn't preview fights other than what we are given but i'm thankful for it.Overall 5/5 bc i am a fan. If i wasn't 4.5/5 bc it could have been longer than 2 books but still great.Recommendation: Buy UDON SF books, Darkstalkers by UDON, SVC Chaos, and Sakura's mangas. All Great Works.

A must buy for all SF fans!Masahiko Nakahira bring on the paper to my opinion the best art for street fighter about Ryu Gill, and naturally about the Master of the Fist!Gouken, and others chars are all awesome!This manga is the best you can have if u 're a mad fan about SF series like me! Proud to have this manga!Masahiko Nakahira is great! Naturally i'm speaking about the 1 and the 2 vol. of RYU FINAL, the end is very shocking!If you wanna pass an hour or an hour and half so deep in a manga read this masterpiece by Nakahira and you won't be disappointed!BUY IT!!!!

Just an action packed , all out good read.

If you are a street fighter fan, specially a RYU fan, then it's a must, if you are looking for other characters development you will not find it here, the story is about RYU with appearances of other characters that are helping him to develop his skills. but yeah it is focus on him. Enjoy!

This is true street fighter, not like the crummy fake chun li movie, this has accurate character designs , special moves and most importantly personality.

Great read for any Street Fighter fan. Find out how Evil Ryu got the hole in his chest!

Also ich muss schon sagen, der Manga hat mir super gefallen! Wer Street Fighter Fan ist und des Englischen mächtig, sollte diese 2 bändige Reihe nicht verpassen!Die Zeichnungen sind echt klasse und auch der Humor kommt nicht zu kurz!Storymäßig geht es hierbei darum, dass Ryu auf der Suche danach ist, wie man zum ultimativen Kämpfer wird und was ihm hierzu noch fehlt!Dabei wird er von einem "Old Man" begleitet, der es fautsdick hinter den Ohren hat!Während seiner Reise trifft er dabei auch auf alte Bekannte! (Wer wird jetzt nicht verraten!)Ich kann diesen Manga echt empfehlen! Auch für nicht Fans mal einen Blick wert!

Es war schön das dieses Buch in Englisch erhältlich war. Leider hatte man es zu schnell durch gelesen und Volumen 2 ist nicht erhältlich.
