Audew Rear Seat Release for Ford F-150 (2009+), F-250/350 (2017+)

The seat release didn’t work as well as expected originally. As you can see by the pictures on my 2010 F150 Platinum the little knob that releases the seat is larger on the outside edge. The Audew seat release fit over it ok but when I would Pull on it to release to seat the red piece would get caught on the knob. I ended up putting some washers on to hold it out from the mechanism because I would be able to release it only once and I would have to reach back and mess with it to get it down and out otherwise for some reason it would not release it was catching somewhere, but with putting the washers on it they pulled it out enough that it stayed out over the large part of the knob and it works good now.

The Audew rear seat release fits perfectly! The only thing I would change is nothing!Price is perfect, quality is way above average. This is a simple drop in (well it's 2 screws) additionthat allows easy access to the extra space behind your back seat.Asumming there is not a stock subwoofer. One of the best mods added to my 2018 f150 crewcab.

I just bought this and installed it on my 2015 F150. Previously, I had a 2010 that I had rigged fishing wire up on the seat release so I could access the behind seat space whenever I wanted access.Now, it’s so much easier to get back there now that I’ve installed this hook on my new truck. Don’t second guess yourself on this one as it is super useful!!!

I purchased two (2) of these at $13.99 for my 2013 Ford F150. It provides quick access to behind the seat storage.Installation Hints:1. Raising the lower seat will give you a little more room to pull the latch for the first time.2. If you raise the lower seat for initial access - have the lower seat raised when you close it for the first time.3. It helps to use a closed end box wrench - say 7/16 or 1/2 - to grab and pull the release up.Point 2 seems odd - but the latch or stricker attached to the rear body of the truck adjust up and down. Once the new device is installed - and you can easily open it with the bottom seat down - this point wont matter anymore.

I made a futile attempt at another YouTube idea, and I should have just ordered the seat release from Amazon. What a difference. I can lower the seat with one click. Before, it was not so easy, now, it is meant to be. Get yours today. I have no regrets, only that I didn't do it sooner.

Pretty easy to install, but it feels like it’s harder now to lock my seat back in place. Not a big deal, just takes a little more force
