Great book!
I bought this for my 8 year olds birthday, and wanted to preview a little of it, just to be sure it was appropriate. I ended up reading the whole thing, laughing my way through. I love this comic book! The art is great, the characters are memorable (I read it a few months back), and it's the kind of writing that works on multiple levels. I'm laughing at some things my kids aren't picking up on, and there's plenty there for them to enjoy as well. Nothing inappropriate - I've rejected many a book for my kids due to bad writing, stupid or base humor, morality reasons, etc. This book I definitely recommend. It feels along the lines of Calvin and Hobbes, but in no way steals from it. It is its own story, and I hope we get more!

THE BEST BOOK I'VE BOUGHT FOR MY SON!
I cannot say enough good things about this comic and the artist! If you are questioning whether to buy the comic, do it!!I bought this book for Christmas for my 8 year old son who is autistic. He has really struggled to not only make friends and navigate social situations, but also struggles to find reading material that is engaging. We read Wallace the Brave together in January, and the entire comic made my child light up!! Together we laughed and laughed. It is the sweetest and funniest little comic. Not only that, my son has read the comic himself, cover to cover, about 3 times now. That is so unlike him, but it makes me so happy. For a solid month he carried this comic book everywhere he went (to school, in the car, to the store, etc). He has told me many times that he wishes Wallace, Spud and Amelia were his friends in real life. He laughs so hard at many of the comics (especially the one where they throw the stale muffin at the hornet's nest). Most importantly, the artist really cares about his readers. After commenting on a Wallace the Brave Facebook post, the artist reached out personally to tell me how much he appreciated knowing that my son was touched by his comic and how much it means to him to know that his comic helped my son enjoy reading. He is so kind!! So it's nice to know that Will Henry is about as genuine as they come.We can't wait for the new comic to come out this fall!!

Mild and enjoyable, this will please people seeking the nostalgia of Calvin and Hobbes
Wallace the Brave is an amusing and inoffensive comic that seems to be inspired by Bill Watterson and Charles Schultz. It's enjoyable and charming but slight. This is a world without conflict, without drama, where the boys are never rude and no one is every corrected, depressed or shouted at. It's a strangely neutered world. Like a comic strip intended for easily startled children. There are no monsters, no Morlocks, no spacemen, WW 1 flying aces, no dinosaurs or evil geniuses.A comic for the Eloi, as lovely as the smell of chocolate chip cookies and about as satisfying and long-lasting, I'm afraid. It's not bad, except by implication which most people probably won't stumble over. It's life without drama, an idealized childhood where everyone is nice, kind and above average.

Yet Another Wonderful Adventure
While Will Henry’s Wallace the Brave comics can be found on Instagram for nearly daily enjoyment, there is nothing like being able to spend pages in the town of Snug Harbor. The ink and watercolor art style is soothing, and the humor will leave you with both aching sides and a smile that will last for days. A perfect choice for those who hold fond memories of Calvin and Hobbes close to their heart.Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for this advanced copy which I received in return for an honest review.

A wonderfully lovely read!!!
I accidentally ordered this book when I was ordering children's books for my young son. I didn't realize at the time that it was a compilation of comic strips. I could not have been more wonderfully surprised when got it in the mail. I'm a huge Calvin and Hobbes fan and can definitely see their influence on Wallace the Brave. It's not QUITE at Calvin and Hobbes level, but really enjoyed it and read through the whole book the day I got it, laughing out loud many times! I consider this a must buy for anyone who enjoys witty writing, well designed characters, and a charming setting and art style. Buy this now!!

which I always loved. This was a gift for my 9 year ...
I bought this book because someone said it reminded them of Calvin and Hobbes, which I always loved. This was a gift for my 9 year old who loves witty, humorous books. He loved this book and asked me to buy him more. He thought there were more in the series, but it doesn't seem there are. I guess I'll keep looking.

Fresh and imaginative
I started reading this online, and I eventually realized how much I enjoyed the characters. Reminiscent of Calvin and Hobbes in its presentation of the world through the imagination of its diminutive characters, it provides a fresh twist on a classic scenario. I bought the two available books to see how this all started, and I was not disappointed. My only regret is that they weren't longer!

Really fun, highly recommended
I really love this comic! My local paper starting running it on Sundays and I found it really sweet. Wallace is the main character along with his friends Spud and Amelia and they get up to all kinds of adventures. Also featured are Wallace's younger brother and parents. While being whimsical and fun, I can totally see this family being real. I also became hooked on looking for the seagull that's always hanging around. And personally I just love the way the clouds and trees are drawn, all swirls and flowing. This would be a great book for kids, to read with your kids or an adult who likes fun stories with beautiful pictures.

These are amazing
If you wanna have fun, go and read these books. This comic strip is amazing. I've got it right on time for my birthday and I have enjoyed every page of them. One of them arrived with some dirty on the covers, but the inside was alright. That's the only thing I found not good. But the content is so good I'm giving them 5 stars no matter what.

New nostalgia.
This comic series, and consequently this book, are a true joy for anyone who grew up on Calvin and Hobbes. If you've got kids that are into C&H style works then you can't go wrong. You can read them on the author's webpage individually if you want, but there's something special about owning it. The books is well printed too, with the only gripe being that it could be longer. Looking forward to the next one.
