TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY. PLAYING IS BELIEVING! I LOVE IT!
This is a wonderful, responsive instrument, well worth the money I spent on it! I actually like the mouthpiece (some people aren't feeling it and listed it as a negative), because it's very flexible and accommodating. Okay yes. It's ugly, I'll give you that. LOL.But not ugly enough to warrant knocking the review down by a star. The SOUND and playability are just divine. You can only go so far, musically, with a Melodica type instrument, and the cheap knock offs are fine if you just want to play around or give your kid a fun gift. But if you are a musician who appreciates unique instruments as much as I do, I think you will be glad you bought this model. You can get a good one for around fifty to sixty dollars, or a GREAT one for a hundred.I'm glad I went for the great one.The tonal quality, the ability to attain some vibrato and expression beyond what the cheaper models allow, I just love it.The gig bag is fantastic. Looks exactly like the picture, so if you like what you see, that is what you will get.As for the sound, I just might make a Youtube Demo, I am that happy with it.I'll be living on black beans and corn tortillas for a week and a half, but Viva la Airboard! !

Outstanding tone and solidly made.
As a lifelong musician, I've played keyboards and alto sax. This is a new and pleasant surprise. I thought that the tone would be more like a harmonica, but the Airboard sounds a bit more like soprano sax. Breath is almost constant from low to high notes. If you can breath you can sound this baby. Also, important note since I jam, it's kept its tune admirably and it's perfect for improvisation. Hohner might have included a neck strap as well as a conventional mouthpiece along with its articulated tube, but since I'm used to playing a saxaphone, the mouthpiece curvature felt familiar. The color scheme is wild and the gig bag is as good as I'd want. For the money, you really can't go wrong with this

Disappointed
Initially, I liked this instrument for working on jazz improvisation, even though I did not use it much. Decent sound, nice design, matching case.Right after a year went by, all of a sudden a note went bad. Basically the lower D-flat sounds like a duck call. I tried taking the instrument apart to see if I could fix it, no luck.I’ve tried Hohner tech-support, all I got out of them was a referral to some local repair shops. It’s really shame that an instrument in this price range should go bad so quickly. Hoping someone at Horner sees this and can help me out, otherwise next time I’m getting a Yamaha.

Flashy and Solid Player
Great looking melodica. The one that I got plays very well in tune throughout the registers, and blends nicely with other instruments. Definitely a top notch quality built instrument. Only issue for me is the mouthpiece. Quite squeaky and can be stubborn to work with. I bought one of those flexible tube mouthpieces, that although is a loose fit for this melodica, still works better for my needs compared to the mouthpiece that comes with it. Others may feel differently and like it though.

Open Box Item; No Documentation
Received the Hohner AIRBOARD37 with Bag two days after ordering (good). The item was obviously "open box", in not new condition. It included no instructions or documentation of any kind (bad). Also, the price decreased just after I ordered it (adding insult to injury). It does appear to play okay, and puts out a healthy sound.

A must have.
Awesome product. Some "scratches" on the back of the vinyl but barely noticeable. I blame Hohner not the seller. Just two tiny white spots where the vinyl "peeled" or just isn't there. Barely noticeable and half the size of a dime. The edges aren't actually peeling up and are fully glued down. Love the instrument, sounds great. The 37 key is the perfect size and the carrying case is awesome. Can't complain one bit. Love this thing. Would highly recommend it. Looks awesome too. The keys and action are really great too. I was highly surprised by how good the action is. This will be perfect for jamming at festivals with people. This thing is loud too.

Really fun and easy to play and sounds great
Really fun and easy to play and sounds great. The case is very colorful and durable. Mouthpiece is short, and works great, but I am also looking for a longer one so I can put the keyboard down on the table if desired. This was a great buy and likely a good instrument for children as well as adults. Would be a great instrument for schools that still teach music to kids.

Excellent quality from the inventor of the Melodica
After reading all the reviews and listening to the different melodicas on youtube, I settled on the AIRBOARD32 37 key Airboard. Why they call it Airboard32 when it has 37 keys, I don't have a clue. Anyway, it's perfect! No key noise; perfectly in tune top to bottom. (I checked this against a tuner.) I thought the half size keys might be a problem. They're not. It's been a hundred years since I took piano lessons but I was able to read melody lines easily. Hohner invented the melodica and they don't disappoint--for under $100.
