Nice phone once you get it set up.
Phone works great but it does take some tech know how to set up. I needed the OBI version for Google voice (not the version I got). I connected the phone to my network download the software and pushed it through to the device. Works great on Google voice (business)!

0 STARS since they do not warn you that this is only for businesses not home
Business only phone will not work in a home. Only connects to a computer, cannoy use standard jack for a POTS or VOIP service. Also if the computer connection does not have enough power, the power supply is seprate and extra.

OBI model phone: Less compatible. But I solved the password problem, on mine at least.
I see many struggle to find the admin password, here's what worked for me: 1) Turn on the phone ( you will need o source POE power or a power supply) 2) Click the Home key 3) Select Settings 4) Note the IP address under the Network option 5) Enter that number into the browser on a computer in the same network 6) You should get a username / password prompt 7) enter admin for both username and password 8) You're in! I was also able to unlock admin services in the settings menu using the password 'admin'. Watch the mode button to be sure you're entering what you think you are. Hope this helps! Very clean phone, seems brand new. But mine is an OBI version phone, which is not supported by either of the VOIP services I am considering. This was not mentioned anywhere in this product description. Will be returning.

Do not buy this phone from Amazon!
I bought three Poly VVX 250 phones from Amazon for the business I manage with the intent of manually provisioning them for our VOIP provider, something I have done at least a dozen times before. These phones were new, and arrived sealed in a box. However, they were originally sold to a phone service provider and were pre-provisioned by Poly for that company and secured with a password. So they have a password already set and they will not respond to a factory reset. So you cannot actually use these phones unless you find and use the original customer's phone service. What a waste of time! Poly recommends buying their phones only from authorized distributors just for this reason.

settle in for a ride if you want to use this with google voice
How to set up Google Voice: 1. Order one of the only 4 phone models that work with google voice 2. Open box to set up phone 3. Close box and order power cable – sold separately for…reasons 4. Plug in phone and connect to network 5. Discover that THE phone that works with google does not have wifi 6. Options – order a wifi bridge to plug in OR a 50 foot network cable to string through the house 7. Plug phone into wifi bridge and separately purchased power cord and set up on google voice 8. Discover that even though you put polycom vvx250 into amazon search, you somehow ordered the version without the x and thus it will not work with google voice 9. Return phone and purchase correct model 10. Plug phone into power cord and wifi bridge 11. Start setting up phone, phone keeps cutting on and off 12. Check power cable and discover that the “sold with” power cable is the wrong thing 13. Order new power cable 14. Plug up phone and start the setup 15. Spend hours online with google help desk updating the firmware to something that still won’t connect 16. Log into phone’s IP address and get password error 17. Shout at innocent person on google helpdesk who has no idea what the password is but that yes, running the firmware update changed it 18. Discover that for my security the password was changed from 456 to admin 19. Really? That was like my 3rd guess after 123 and user and I’m not a hacker 20. Log into phone’s IP using the password admin – all lowercase and update the firmware to the version that was sent to me in a link from google chat support 21. Briefly price the cost of installing a land line after receiving ERROR on both noise reduction and non noise reduction versions of firmware 22. Walk away for blood pressure reasons and then the next morning… 23. Back on the chat with google, given new link with different version of firmware 24. Watch with a mix of excitement and anxiety as phone reboots many many times, pauses just long enough to make you think it’s hung up, but then it starts up again 25. With no uncertain measure of trepidation make a test call and OMG it actually went through 26. Sit quietly drinking coffee and wonder why if there are only 4 very specific Polycom phones that work with google voice, why there aren’t set procedures or hey this is a crazy idea, why doesn’t the damn thing come ready to go

Nice phone
Nice phone, function and quality sound. Does not come with Power Supply so that needs to be purchased separately.

Good phone, No power cable, No password provided
Two things that are absolutely rediculous. It may be an IP phone, but most connections do not provide power, so you'll need to buy the power transformer seperately. Also, the phone will require an Admin Password that they do send you. I spent an hour on the phone trying to obtain the password, just to set up the phone! So you don't have to waste your time... When you are asked for an admin password: *Enter 456, then press the down arrow *Enter your new password, press the down arrow *Re-enter your new password *Press Enter

Purchased a phone as replacement for a faulty deskphone - but found this has been locked to a supplier by Poly. No way of changing the provisioning server.

I ordered this phone to work from home. To set it up, you need to enter an activation code. Emailed the vendor via Amazon - no response.

No PSU supplied. Usually on Amazon the item clearly says no PSU in the description.
