Mivizu Universal Windshield/Dashboard Car Holder Cradle for iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S3, S2, Note 2, Motorola Droid Razr HD Maxx, iPhone 4s & Vent Mount

I purchased this item back in Feb 2013. The item was packaged in a very nice box with instructions and A/C vent clips.Pros:Easy to place on windshield, had a very strong suction and was easy to remove when needed.It will hold any phone securely, even with the case on. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3.Does not block the sides , top or bottom, so charging a phone while it's in the cradle is not a problem.No vibration when hitting pot holes.Strong Suction. This sucker will not fall off the window.Full 360 degree swivelCons:After a few months, the swiveling ball joint starts getting loose. Even after tightening it to the max, the cradle moves and vibrates slightly. On 05/05/2013, it finally died and it became useless, the joint spins and will not hold the cradle up. It droops down like a sad puppy.The cradle is a 2 piece, the part that holds the phone is one , and the other is the suction cup and swivel joint. The problem is the clip that holds the cradle to the swivel joint does not lock in place tightly. Even though it slides it perfectly and it holds snuggly, those who may switch to landscape may see the unit fall off.The release button becomes harder and harder to push and release your phone.In the end, when the holder finally died, to add insult to injury, when I pushed the release button, it would not release at all. I had to literally pry the s*** open to get my phone out. Even though Mivizu offers a 1 year warranty, where can you file one? No website, no phone #. The only reason I gave it a 2 star was that it started off very well. But after a short time, this product is worthless garbage and ended up in the circular file under "CRAP" DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS, GO FIND ANOTHER PRODUCT.

I'm very happy with the product that I received.Call me shallow but for starter, the box that came with the product made me think that I ordered some high tech gadget, just the box alone to me is worth the price! I will be keeping the box for other uses...heeMy initial intention was to use the windshield suction and thought the vent clip is a nice extra but I never had any luck with any vent clip so I wasn't going to use it. But I was wrong, while the suction cup is very sturdy I just hate to have it stuck in the windshield and possibly invite someone to break into the car thinking there's a nice GPS or something.So I gave the vent clip a try and must say that to my surprise it is very secure and provides a solid mount. The clip has a locking mechanism so it won't easily fall out at all but the best part is that it also has a third leg on the bottom like R2D2's front leg, so the mount doesn't just rely on the two upper clips but also has the bottom one to rest on the vent as well, therefore making it very solid. The only downside (not for me) is that you can only hold your phone vertically with the vent clip whereas the suction cup will let you hold it either way.The holder itself is also well-made, the phone holder release is spring loaded and when pressed, provides a slow and fluid release, making it feel premium. The holder will extend to a little bit over the long side of a credit card so it fits my Samsung S3 very well.If you are like me who usually rest the phone somewhere between the two front seats and the phone occasional finds its way to under the seat while driving then you should get this!

I ordered this mount hoping to get a solid holder for my phone so I could charge it and use it as a GPS in my car. It works very well as a holder in the vent but I havent yet tried it on the windshield. The arms that hold the phone seem like they could be a little deeper, but they work fine so that is just an observation. I have had no problems with the phone moving and affecting the charging jack. I see no reason it wont work well on the windshield, the suction cup mount looks very sturdy and all the joints seem to tighten very well. One small detail that took this review from 5 stars down to 4, I didnt get the screen cleaner that was advertised with it. I went through the box three times looking for anything that might be considered a cleaner and found nothing. Other than that relatively minor detail this is a wonderful product and I am very happy with it...

I will give this product 2 stars and the manufacturing co. that makes it 0 stars for sending a broken piece. then the seller would not send exchange for new one. as a result I will not except any thing but a full refund. I CAN NOT IN GOOD CONSCIENCE RECOMMEND THIS OR ANY PRODUCT FROM THIS MANUFACTURER (MIVIZU) as they won't work with customer. WTF! I just wanted an exchange! "silly me expecting some thing of quality in this day and age" what happened to giving a damn about doing the job right the first time?

This is perfect for what I needed it for. I was wanting a cheap and function able car mount for my phone. It is very sturdy and an added bonus it even works with my oversized otter box case :) It is super sticky to the window (even over lots of bumps)! I am going to be purchasing one in the near future for everyone in my family (5) and maybe friends! I cannot give this product a better review. Price was cheap and works! Please buy this if you are looking for a car mount for ANY phone - it is customizable and moves in weird angles if needed.

I installed this using the air vent method. It took a while to figure out how to get the clips to fit on and not interfere with the louver control that is in the middle of the vent. The clips were not long enough to extend past the louver control. I tried to move it up/down to avoid the control but then the leg that supports the weight was not touching the dashboard and was resting on another louver fin. I eventually mounted it to the side of the louver control. The two holders are a little closer together than they should be but it is holding fine so far. I have not used the suction cup mount and would expect that it would work just fine.
