The title of the book should be "understand hacking" or "prevent hacking", it did not in any way teach you how to hack (which I believe is what most buyers of the book looking for). 95% of the information within the book you can easily gather if you spend sometime on wikipedia or google. To be honest, A little bit disappointed..

This book has seriously been an eye opener. It really delves in to all the ways your personal information, your website, your databases could be at risk. I think everyone with a basic understanding of computers should grab a copy of this so you learn how to protect yourself.I really enjoyed this read. I learned lots of new terminology and some tips to make surfing the internet a little safer.

This was a very interesting read. I purchased this book to try and better protect myself and my family from the unknowns of the internet. I’m very glad to have read through it and know just how in-depth hacking can be and where I need to increase my personal security online.

I bought this book not only for myself, but for my parents who while knowledgeable of the internet and how to navigate it, are not necessarily the most Savvy as far as protecting themselves. After my mom posted a couple of things on a social network that I knew were definitely going to get her hacked, I started searching out ways for her to gain some knowledge to protect her self and my father. While my parents are not the most tech-savvy, they're also not ignorant to the dangers around them. They are in there 60s, so relatively young, but I felt like they could some brush up on their knowledge. This book was incredibly helpful as laying out information for them to help keep them safe guarded. I'm recommending this book not only to their friends, but to my siblings and friends as well. So much great information!

It is amazing how much we truly do not know about the world of hackers. This book gave me quite the idea of what hackers of and how they get into our personal information. I never knew that there were as many hackers in the world today and this book helped explain all of the different types and what they do online.

I'm learning a lot from this book. I am having troubles finding the time to read it, but I am learning a lot when I do. Thank you. I have a very hard time with needing to get my PC checked for viruses and malware, and I hope this will help me to prevent me from needing to take my PC to have it checked for viruses.

A helpful guide on Kali Linux and covers some other essentials you'll need to know if you're wanting to learn and gain a better grasp on the pentesting industry, or just learning for your own legal reasons ;-)

Not too sure which audience this book is aimed at I study computer science which includes networks and cybersecurity majority of theses terms I haven’t learned even in the book doesn’t go into much detail about the tools just says you can download it here maybe Abraham White can shed light and guide us through I’m confused.

This isn't the book you are looking for.

As I said before these books are good for people that are being hacked whether it be you're a computer your bank your phone's doesn't matter it'll tell you who's doing it

Hello, sorry for writing a not-so-positive comment, but the book is kind of under my expectation.Maybe it was my fault to not "investigate" enough the book before purchasing it but it seems that you do not mention about the audiences of the book. It is suitable for someone who do not know anything about hacking (and probably IT in general?) and curious about it. It covers very basic stuffs and general terms/tools.It is definitely NOT for the ones who have already been interested in hacking and want to practice with some real stuffs, because I think the tools and the instructions described in the book is not enough.And also, the presentation of the book is not good, in my opinion. The cover is very nice, but the inside is bad. The font size is too big! The heading size is too big, margins of the pages are too small. It gives the feeling that you are reading the book for children and not for a geek.And, as I said, shouldn't you also mention about the expected/recommended audiences at the beginning of the book?

Very boring book written as a dry textbook. Will not recommend to anyone.
