What It Says On The Tin....
This is a good looking, informed and attractively put together book. It's well written, the author has done his work and the pictures perfectly capture the character of the subjects. It's a great companion piece for Garth Cartwright's history of the UK record store, 'Going For A Song' and a million times better than the execrable Graham Jones books that seem to have dominated this market in recent years.Heartily recommended!

Informative
A good all rounder catalouging London's record stores. Of the stores I know about he gets it right. I'm please he laments the lack of listening posts in some store. He gets the mood of the shops right - Flashback is great - Record and Tape Exchange no longer what it was (it was always a miserable experience but got away with the attitude when the stock was decent).

日本(東京)版がほしい。
面白い!でも、日本(東京)にも個性的なレコード屋はたくさんあって、そんなガイド(とはいえ、通り一遍ではないガイド)がほしいと思った。本は思いのほか早く届きました。
