These are cute and do the job but was very disappointed to open the package and see that they were wrapped in plastic... aren’t they supposed to be eco friendly?

I was very disappointed with this product. One of the toothbrush holders couldn't close completely... perhaps the bamboo had swollen?? ... No clue, but luckily, my husband took the defective one.. Also, the holders seem to be susceptible to molding.
