Does it flake in dark hair

It did not flake on my dark brown-violet hair however the hold was so intense I felt like I couldn't breathe. The awful, dreaded, helmet head. It was awful

I have very fine hair and need lift at the roots, as well as extra-strong control over a few crazy cow-licks in my bangs. Will this do the job?

I don't have particularly fine hair, but I *do* use this product specifically for lifting at the roots and it's the best I've found. Results typically last all day.

Will it spike my hair?

I don't think so. I have long thick hair so never tried...but that doesn't mean it won't work.

Good so far

I use it occassionally to set my hair and has strong hold. It does increase dandruff at times but I always had dandruff problem, it just aggravates it sometimes. The only thing that I would have wanted was a smaller version of this.
