Don't buy products based on the picture
The picture of this product is deceptively large to give an appearance that the actual products are substantial, but they are not. My bad, I should have also read the description before purchasing and also the reviews then I would not have brought them. They are useless to me for crocheting. Most reviewer use them for knitting; however they are advertised as crochet hooks, they are too small, at least for me to useful in crocheting. Another thing that may be deceptive is that they are called "ebony", which to me meant as in made with ebony wood, but they do not have the feel of wood, but plastic. The term ebony is apparently used to describe their color and not the material used in making the hooks. I would not recommend anyone that crochets buy these hooks, unless they have really small hands. Will not buy again- a waste of more than fifteen dollars.

These rock! Great Knitter's Repair Hooks
I had to ladder down about 15 rows to fix an error I discovered quite after the fact, in a bottom-up shawl that had a short rowed garter stitch section which followed lace. I'd simply picked up a strand from the stitch below which created a pucker, and it showed. Being garter stitch, I had to keep alternating my repair crochet hook from holding it in front of the work to back of the work (or keep turning the work itself), either of which is a recipe for missing a strand. Someone on Ravelry said to get a double-ended crochet hook so it's all done from one side, merely pushing the hook through to the back and snagging the next strand on the way. Since I didn't want to invest in a huge set, but wanted sizes compatible with laceweight AND heavier yarns, I bought this little set of three. Now, what almost stopped me was that the close-up of the photo made me think the hooks themselves stuck out too far (not enough crook to the neck) which would too easily snag other strands. I was picturing having to fight with them. I ordered it anyway. Well, in person, the hooks just are not that right angled flared, they have an excellent curve-over. What a pleasant surprise.Okay, next though, the smallest hook's tip was very, very sharp which is now another recipe -- this one for splitting a yarn, or snagging one ply from another strand that might be adjacent. These are made of ebony wood so I took an emery board and very, very gently filed down that hook's tip point, just the teensiest bit (I mean maybe 5 very soft passes, and with very little pressure). That took the edge off and rounded out that teensy little sharp edge. These three sizes are great for repairs of pretty much any thickness of yarn, from superfine laceweight on up to beyond worsted weight (probably even bulky). And they're short... only several inches long, which is exactly what you want for a repair hook. This is about the best deal in town -- three very useful sizes for a very good price. Highly recommended for any knitter's tool kit.

Useful, but no quality control on these sets.
These hooks are useful & would be a good value but for the fact that the smallest hook is not properly formed on one end. The hook part had not been carved out. Of course, the smallest hook, the one used for fingering weight yarn, is the one I needed. Double sided hooks are a great tool for fixing dropped stitches!

Very Handy
I use these tools frequently when correcting dropped or incorrect stitches in my knitting. You can find detailed instructions on YouTube. Search for Fix a Stitch tool. That's a different brand than the Lacis product, but the instructions are the same. I thought long and hard about which brand to purchase. I made the right choice.

Dropped stitches? Dropped Garter Stitches?
This is perfect for picking up dropped knit stitches. Even better design for picking up dropped garter stitch stitches.

Double end crochet hook
A bit short to hold comfortably but they do the trick as I had seen in a video from Knitting and Crocheting

Not the best for tunisian
Great tool for repairs in knitting, not so great for tunisian crochet. Too short, and the sizes aren't marked on the hooks, so you'll have to mark them yourself. I had hoped that this would do for working different size yarns in the round, and it does in a pinch, but it's far from ideal.

At some point, you will need these.
They work well and have made my life much easier. They are a little rough around the tips but a few gentle swipes of an emery board took care of that problem. Having three sizes is great! They are also the only ones I could find except for an overpriced, large, pink one that would have been useless to me for the size of yarn I was working with. Yes, I would recommend them.
