I really like this light so I thought I would take the time to write a review on this flashlight.BRIGHTNESSThe 12x CREE is insanely bright. I have no way to confirm the lumens, but it is really bright. I have several 1,000 plus lumen lights and none even come close to as bright as this light is. I even have one 3800 lumen flashlight, and this is definitely brighter. The manufacturer rates it at 12,000 lumens, but I really have no idea. All I know is it is bright.If you are looking at getting this for security purposes it will definitely do the job. Just seeing the reflection from the beam off white wall had me seeing nothing but a yellow spot for several minutes. I tested the strobe and it works great. When it is in your hand you can see everything fine. I then set it on a counter and turned around to look at it and it is very harsh. Definitely disorienting.BEAM QUALITYThe beam quality is really good. Very even coverage with out the normal flaring and hot or dark spots. There is both a focused spot light effect (narrow angle) to the lamp and a nice flood effect (wide angle). So it really lights things up well. The spot is white and bright (getting maybe 90% of the light, but the flood effect gives you good peripheral illumination as well (Maybe 10% of the light). Some of my lights do just one or the other, you do not know how nice it is to have both until you have it.SIZEIt is really small for how bright it is, but I would not call it a “small” flashlight. It is 5.5” long x 2.0-2.5” in diameter. I will say it feels really good in your hand and stows well in a jacket pocket.FUNCTIONWhen I grab the light, my thumb finds the on switch very naturally. And I absolutely love that they did not over complicate the switch. Simple high / low / strobe. Of all my lights this is my favorite as far as function. Press once and you get the entire light at its very brightest. Tap it a second time and it drops to a nice reasonable, functional light. Some lights have multiple settings and I spend too much time shuffling around. And rarely does a bright light have a usable low setting, this one works great. One more tap and the light is off. For the strobe simply press and hold. You only need it for defense. And I would think if I were panicked it is natural to hold the button down. Even if the light is off and you want to hit someone with the strobe, just push and hold and it will come on flashing.So well done on the switch. Again, I wish all my flashlights worked this way.BUILDThe light is well crafted. The knurling and anodized finish is flawless. It has a good feel and is very well designed and machined. This is a really great light for the money.BATTERIESBatteries are not included, but that is fairly usual for lights like this. It takes four of the button top 18650 rechargeable batteries. Shop around a bit, make sure they have the button top on the positive end, get good ones and you won’t regret it. And don’t forget a charger. By the way, if you are new to the high powered flashlights, this is the way to go. I have four “rechargeable” flashlights that are now just paperweights because the batteries are not replaceable.SHIPPINGI received mine the next day and it was very well packaged. It arrived in an envelope. In the envelope was simple box with die cut foam protecting the flashlight. Also included were three extra green O-rings and an instruction sheet.BOTTOM LINEIf you want a well made, very bright light at an amazing price . . . buy one. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.WARNINGLastly, again, if you are new to lights like these, be very careful. They are bright and can be dangerous. Don’t look into the beam to see how bright it is. This is not a light to be flashing around at a camp site. But it is fun to light up the lake or the mountain side every once and a while. :D

Received the light and it didn't even work I've invested time and money in purchasing brand-new ultrafire batteries and this piece of junk light did not work and I tried to get ahold of Quincy Tech and they're giving me the run-around I had to get with Amazon and file a complaint everything about this light and the people who sent it to me sucks I am not a amateur in the LED light forum I own 10 lights ranging from Nightcore Surefire Ultra fire and Coast so lthought I'd give this one a shot seeing hot cheap it is and if it's too good to be true it usually is! The light is junk the service also junk so buyer beware do not buy this junk!

Great flash light, super strong

I have a klauris 2000 lumen unit and this one is not as bright. The advertised output is not accurate.

Not as bright as advertised, if I were to wager a guess about 2500 lumens max. Build quality feels cheap and the button is made of plastic. I paid $20 so I'll keep it as a beater but if you pay 2 cents more than that I say send it back. I'm also legitimately not sure how long it'll last, based on the feel I'd guess the wiring is crappy and the solder might break off any second, guess time will tell.Also if you have 4 18650 batteries you're probably into some nerdy stuff and should know better, my curiosity got the better of me. Long story short, do some research and buy something of better quality, like a Thorfire BLF Q8; they go on sale all the time for $40.

Arrived intact with no issues. Worked the first time and continues to work flawlessly. I have a private entrance from my bedroom. I open the door to my dogs out for their 'bidness'. Flashlight reaches entire yard. I always use it in 'low power' mode.
