Wow! This cat grass grows fast! Within a week, it grew 8 inches!. I made the mistake of planting 6-7 seeds each pot of my 4 inch pot set. because the cat grass out grew the pots within 2 weeks! This could have been a little better result than others', because I have a grow light. I was relieved by how simple and clean the grass was to plant, and I would like to know where I can get some more of those soil bricks that come in the kit. I was also relieved that I could plant the seeds in my own pots instead of the bags that the brick come in, and even though I planted the seeds on my crowded kitchen counter, the mess was minimal.Finally, and most importantly, there is nothing in the grass or fertilizer that is toxic or deters my cats. I have one cat that chews on it almost every time that he walks by a cat grass pot.This is an amazing cat grass planting kit, and when compared to the other kits on Amazon, it has one of the lowest prices.

I know it's more cost-effective to use your own soil & pots to grow kitty grass. I even bought a pound of seeds with the intention of doing just that. But after using these kits in an emergency (you can tell when a hairball's a-comin', and want to give poor kitty relief without having them munch on every other plant in the house), I've found they're just so darned convenient and reliable that I've bought them again. They grow SUPERfast (like edible in maybe 4 days?) and the amount of seeds they give you makes a nice thicket of grass. Worth the spend.p.s. after reading some of the other reviews I thought I'd add 2 things I forgot I started doing with these:* as a few have said, you should set aside more soil when planting than they suggest - a good 1/2" layer is probably about what you need to cover the seeds properly.* it's easy to overwater since it really doesn't take much, and the water will sink to the bottom and sit there while the top where the seeds are may still get dry - if possible, use a spray bottle to water it instead.

I think it only took a few days to sprout & its about 4 inches in 5 days? Great system. Water seemed to sink to the bottom with initial fluff. After planting i misted the top, but now grown, im seeing mold. My kitty didnt quite have the hang of chewing it off, but ate the gras i 'mowed'. -id say needs more seeds. Mines sparse. I was trying to ration the amount, not wanting none left for 3rd planter. I used a square panda bowl & cantelope mesh cut to make a hanging basket. One ledge tad too narrow & so cat wouldnt knock off or dig in it. Worked great. Bowl was same size as the pop up garden & flair kept the net from squishing the bag. Great system. Very easy! Watering, takes a knack. Probably over watered starting. Then misted daily, didnt want to dry & die.

My cats absolutely love this product. My cat would try to sneak out of the house and when he was successful he would go straight to the grass and starting eating it. I decided to try this product to satisfy that craving. The product very easy to set up and start and the grass grows FAST! The first time I gave it my cats they loved it and couldn't get enough. Great product for the price especially with the subscribe and save.

The pic is just 3rd day after planting - will be ready to graze in another few days! Our cat immediately loved the first batch we bought even though she's never had any grass before. The seeds sprouted almost immediately and ready to eat in just a few days and last for weeks. Instead of just ordering another pack, I've subscribed. I did put the plastic bag into a bowl to avoid it accidentally being knocked over.

My cats loved this cat grass. It was very easy to grow. The only downside to this is for some reason it’s bad to mold after a while and I have to throw it away. It comes with a ton of grass seed and I was thinking maybe it was the plastic bag that caused it to mold so I tried some of the seed in a metal potting container and it still molded after a while. Maybe I watered it too much, I am not sure. But while it lasted my indoor cats went crazy over it. I still have some seed and will try it again in another container.

Got a lot more than what I expected in the package, it came with 3 bags of fiber soil; one bag had a lot of soil, the other was medium, and the last was thin. Out of the 3 I have planted, I ended up using potting plants for 2 and only kept one in the bag. I still have tons of seeds and a bag of soil left over for more plants (pictures below). My house is very shaded so I was worried about them getting enough sunlight and keeping them in temperature so I had to get creative with my placements, one I feel hardly gets but like a strip of sunlight all day but it's growing! I planted these on Friday, by Monday they sprouted like an inch, the pictures are from today, Tuesday, and they are growing very quickly! So far I am happy and can't wait for my cats to have some cat grass! If you want to be able to produce a lot of cat grass get this product! Highly recommend!

I waited to post my review until after I grew all 3 kits to see how I liked this product. I also grew the grass one kit at a time. Well the verdict is in... My cats absolutely LOVE this grass! My cat loves to eat grass outside, but he is only allowed out when I’m with him. He started to sit by the door all day and meow to go out and eat grass. So, I decided to try the pop up grass and I am glad I did!! It is SO easy to setup and grows very fast! Plus, did I mention my cat loves it? Once it’s grown, I just leave it where he can go chomp on it whenever he wants. He rarely begs to go outside now. I have already placed my order for another kit! Kitty tested, Kitty approved.
