Delivery was next day (on a Sunday), so pleased with that. The quality for the product was good except the instructions. Although written in English, Dutch & French, the instructions only covered the installation and menu items. The Trouble shooting and functionality aspects were very poor. I experienced a problem where I could not select the menu option, so could not change the setup or format the disc. I had to google the problem and read a number of threats to find the answer - very time consuming. I resolved it by covering the lens to prevent light entering, pressing "ok" to stop recording then pressing "menu". It's important not to move the camera else it starts recording automatically. You can't select the menu when recording. To prevent further problems, deselect the "Gravity Sensing" option and save. It was easy to install, acknowledging that some drilling for the rear camera and feeding of cables through the car sound proofing etc. Front & rear picture quality is good. Despite being mounted underneath the number plate light lip, the rear camera does catch rain drops and distorts the image - so I may have to extend the lip with something. The cables were long enough for a Mazda CX-5 (SUV) with rear camera powered from the rear windscreen centre brake light and cables fed through the roof sound proofing. Connections are good quality, you will need a connector (Halfords) to link into the brake light positive cable. Just the quality of the user manual to address, then five stars will be justified!

I have just fitted the dash cam to my car. I hadn't realised when purchasing that the rear camera was a separate unit, but it was easy to install the wiring to the back to the car. The rear camera will work without the suggested feed to the reversing lights, but again, I found it easy to link in, and it then provides the extra facility of a grid on the screen indicating how close you're getting to an obstruction. The translation from Chinese/Mandarin? in the manual isn't very good, so I felt I had to guess how to set some of the features. I wrote to the manufacturers to suggest they get the manual re-translated.However, for the money, it's a very good dash cam. I paid £150 for a combined front/rear cam, so for a little DIY in running the cable room front to back(I used the top headlining, tucking the cable behind the rubber-be aware of curtain/side airbags though) I would recommend it.

I purchased this in March 2019 and although the instructions were printed in the smallest font possible, the set up was straightforward.First few months, no problems.3+ months, the unit had to be factory reset as it froze.About 7-8 months, the swivel bracket became loose. The seller immediately refunded me for this part without quibbling However, the replacements were poorly reviewed so using some blu-tac, I positioned the bracket as required.17 months, the unit started rebooting itself randomly during journeys.18 months, the until has stopped working completely.I want to emphasise that the seller, LAMOE, were excellent and always keen to help. The product, when fully operational, was very good. Unfortunately, it didn't last as long as I hoped it would.

At the time of writing this review, there are 45 reviews, 3 of them negative, 42 with a 5 star rating. I thought based on the great ratings (and people saying how good the quality of the video is) this would be a good choice. Well, I simply can't read the number plates of any vehicle being recorded. I've attached some screenshots from the videos I've recorded, decide for yourself. The resolution settings is on highest (1080 HD), and I've included 3 pics, two whilst moving and one when parked (cream Fiat). The dashcam was very easy to setup, I just don't think the video quality is any good at all (kind of the main feature I want in a dash cam is being able to read a number plate of someone hitting into my car and driving off).

It recorded quite well in sunlight but the screen was unviewable in the sun light. fitting the rear camera was a nightmarenot the cams fault but the trim in the car gave me considerable grief.

I have to drive through a busy part of town with some interesting occurrences daily, so it's reassuring to have video evidence if something really interesting were to happen.

I can only give it a 4 star rating as I have not got around to setting it up in the garden as yet.Instructions are easy to follow.So, so far, so good.
