Cheap part, defective right out of the box.
My vehicle is a 2007.5 GMC 2500HD Sierra Diesel truck with the 6.6L diesel engine. This sensor SHOULD measure the pressure inside the engine manifold. Depending on the pressure it is sensing it SHOULD output 0.5volts - 4.5volts as "reference" voltage on the center pin wire. This reference voltage tells the engine how to adjust the fuel and turbo boost settings during normal engine operation. The part I received outputs a constant 4volts at all times. Using this part caused the truck to immediately indicate an engine fault, turn on the check engine light, put the truck into "limp mode" and a variety of other problems. In other words..... this product was literally defective right out of the box. Went to my local Gm dealer, bought the genuine AC Delco part ($120) and of course it solved my MAP sensor issue and is working perfectly. You get what you pay for so I'd avoid this product if you need a solid solution to your problem and don't have time to play around with cheap aftermarket parts and / or if you don't know how to actually test them with a meter. Gave it 2 starts because the seller did follow up after I returned it with questions about what was wrong so he could communicate with his supplier.
