It works
Ok so the fan switch did its last pull and stuck on low.Went to HD to get a new pull switch, before I opened it up. Back to the store now there's 2 types of 4 line switchs, got mine. Up on a ladder changing one line at a time, it's the last one that will not stay put with several attempts.Taking it out, having labeled the lines 1-3 and L, I compare switches. The old has more heft, not that has any bearing maybe better to say quality. So I ordered here and it looks just like it and it's in and working. No slip on the wires pressed in and locked.

Perfect fan pull chain replacement switch
This was a perfect replacement for my 27 year old Hunter fan. The fan pull chain had snapped and I thought I'd need to purchase a new fan until I found this replacement switch on Amazon. There are some helpful videos on the Amazon website, and my most important feedback is to carefully note the positions of the colored wires on the old switch so that you can install the new switch with the exact same wire positions. If you do not, the fan will not operate correctly. If you are handy and usually fix stuff yourself, this will be easy.
